Mook Lamai Resort and Spa

Absolutely loved this hotel. First impressions were how kind and welcoming the staff are and how clean the whole place is. We were welcomed by Tit and his team who gave us cool drinks and showed us our room. Gorgeous room (swim up room) with sun loungers and then direct access to the pool which was spotless. The pool is cleaned early mornings by a member of the team. The room was very tidy with lots of storage and a fridge, a counter with a kettle and two bottles of water provided. The towels smell lovely. We were told if we needed anything at all to just ask and then left to settle in and relax. It’s very quiet and peaceful, especially at night. The breakfasts were absolutely exceptional. Best I’ve ever had in Thailand. We were given a menu and told to ask for anything we wanted off the lists and it was made fresh to order. The bacon, omelettes and pancakes were perfectly cooked and delicious. I miss the omelettes already! Very generous portions and after we finished we were asked “more coffee? More juice? More food?” Honestly, those staff are wonderful. Kae is funny and happy and helpful, she is an asset to the team. They are all wonderful. The island itself is beautiful. The food is gorgeous and fresh (everywhere we went it was delicious) the people are so kind and friendly. I would say that the mook lamai is without a doubt my favourite hotel in all of Thailand. You MUST try this place. Thank you all for your hard work. We loved being your guests and will definitely be returning in the future. Also, I’d like to add that the gardeners work so so hard to keep the grounds pristine. Such a fantastic team of people who all work as a team to ensure this hotel is excellent in every way.

Utit and his team were wonderful at taking care of us. They were extremely helpful and offered great advice, gave free shuttles and the free breakfast a la carte was good, as well. Lunch and dinner were yummy too. The rooms were clean and well maintained, as are the premises.

Very nice vibe - pleasant and informal but also very smart. It's definitely at the top end for Ko Mook. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, and the pool is nice to sit around and there are a couple of long walks you can take around the island. The breakfast was nice. And the staff are very keen to please. But the restaurant was a bit tame and western for our tastes.

Fabulous friendly staff and the hotel was very clean and tidy - we had pool access rooms which were great - pool clean , fantastic breakfast and they will take you anywhere you want to go in a tuk tuk - definitely recommend - loved the Ku bar just down the road for drinks and pool and great meals at the Sea View and Sea Beach restaurants and the Sugar Restaurant was the best meal we had in Thailand on 3 weeks

We stayed at Mook Lamia resort for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there, the room was clean with great air conditioning, we had accommodation with a private plunge pool which was nice to use in the hot afternoons. The location of the hotel is good, a 10 minute walk into town and 5 minutes by tuk tuk to the beach. We ate at the hotel restaurant on a couple of occasions and this was also excellent, they have local Thai food but also offer excellent pizza (they own the Italian restaurant across the road). The hotel manager Tid was really helpful arranging our boat tickets and even taking us to the beach on the complimentary hotel tuk tuk… he has a great team of staff behind him all of them being very polite and helpful.We will definitely stay here again and next time for longer!

We had booked 6 nights- unfortunately we had a rat in our villa with roughtop pool that emerged when we were about to sleep. This incident reflects put bad review ss this is not acceptable to us. However i must say that the staff handles the situation good. We were moved to pawapi hotel next day and the staff at Lamai really apologized and took action. We Got a minor refund for the lost night - in our eyes it should have been more as we lost one day of travel. However Lamai argued that the new resort was more expensive. I was really impressed of the staff that was alltime happy and a bit sad of the bad rat experience.

Wonderful stay in a magical family resort. We stayed a week with the whole family (2 children) and enjoyed great accommodation and food and most importantly a diligent and helpful staff and family members who were looking to fulfill our every wish. The room was clean and comfortable and equipped with all necessary comforts (including AC in every room). Pool was of generous size and super clean. Staff was around at every hour to provide advice for tours, snorkeling and trekking as well as for food (including pizza!) and drinks. Charlie beach (the closest to the resort) is a long stretch of white sand with crystalline water. Great stay in a super modern and friendly resort on a jewel of an island. Would recommend for both couples as well as families with children.
