Disappointing Stay Due to Poor Reception Behavior – Only Vishnu Made It Better I booked a triple occupancy room at this Treebo property specifically to meet my visiting brother and his friend comfortably. During check-in, I was assured that my wife could visit for a short while so we could share a meal together. Based on this, I extended my stay for another day. However, the actual experience was deeply disappointing. Despite traveling 23 km in the rain, my wife was denied entry by the reception staff. I showed them our wedding photos and even presented her Aadhaar card to verify the relationship, but nothing helped. The receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive, wasting more than an hour of our time. Even after providing every possible proof, he continued to argue and blocked her entry. Things only started to improve after I escalated the issue and received a call from Vishnu from Treebo’s central team. Vishnu was exceptionally polite, understanding, and efficient. As someone who is also working in hospitality management in a 5-star property as Manager in Pune, I could truly appreciate his professional conduct. He made a prompt call to the hotel and ensured my wife was allowed to stay with us until 10 PM, which was a big relief. Vishnu is an asset to Treebo – he turned a frustrating situation into a manageable one through his genuine care and prompt action. Unfortunately, the receptionist’s earlier behavior overshadowed our entire experience. Later that night, after the 10 PM deadline, when we returned to the lobby, the receptionist again misbehaved and made an alarming comment: “You complained about me, but nothing will happen to me. Remember, you’re only staying here for a few days, and it’s me who will be taking care of you.” This sounded nothing short of a veiled threat. I strongly urge Treebo’s senior management and property owner to review the CCTV footage and take strict disciplinary action against such staff who tarnish the brand’s reputation. I have another booking and extended stay, but this experience has left a bitter taste. Were it not for Vishnu’s timely and professional intervention, I would have checked out immediately. The only reason I am rating this experience 2 stars is because of Vishnu – otherwise, it would have been zero/10. Treebo, please take this matter seriously. One bad staff member can undo all the good work done by others like Vishnu.
