With only 13 rooms it’s a real little gem in La Cala de Mijas. Nice, very clean rooms, some with seaview and French balcony. Staff is welcoming and very helpful if you have any questions. It doesn’t provide breakfast, but La Cala does in abundance.

Only stayed for one night as visiting a nearby restaurant (Geranium). Easy to find and plenty of free parking nearby. Had been unable to book a balcony room online but on checking in were offered a sea view room with balcony. Room was small but perfect for a short stay with a large balcony with table and chairs. All very clean including shower room. Good value and will probably stay again.

Booked last minute as our dates changed had room 302 sea view over the roof tops, big balcony room on the small side but adequate bathroom big and walk in shower rooms cleaned everday,fresh towels.It was my husbands birthday they saw the cards in the room and when we got back there were some sweets and peanuts and a little message,glasses and cava in the fridge, a nice touch.Reception friendly and helpful beach towels,umberellas whatever we needed would highly recommend.

We stayed here for a quick weekend break. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is perfectly located for everything you might need. The beach is a maximum 10 minute walk away and there are a whole range of restaurants and bars on the doorstep. There is a supermarket across the road should you require anything. We might have been unlucky but the particular night we stayed there, there was a lot of outside noise and there were people wandering about the hotel who werent showing much consideration for other hotel guests; talking loudly. We really enjoyed breakfast in the cafe - make sure you pay it a visit!

Just back from La Cala. Stayed at Hotel Carmen for a week and couldn’t speak highly enough about it . It was spotlessly clean staff were excellent in particular Daniel who was always pleasant and willing to help. The coffee shop was excellent for breakfast everything was freshly cooked and the staff were also very pleasant

Great location, close to the beach and town centre, though not noisy, the staff were friendly and the food in the cafe was very good, we loved the smoothie options! Perfect for a quick weekend getaway.

Once again a fantastic say at Hotel Carmen. As per our previous reviews this was out 10th stop in La Cala and Hotel Carmen and yes, we have already booked to return on 2024! In our view everything is perfect, the best and most friendly staff and the accommodation is absolutely pristine. Roll on 2024

This is an exceptional 2 Star Hotel with exceptional service both in the hotel and the Cafe next to the hotel (staff are incredibly friendly and helpful). Some of the facilities are better than 4 star hotels that I have visited. It is in a perfect location with excellent access to the beach and restaurants. Book you won’t regret it.
