Hotel Balneario la Hermida

I stayed in this hotel one night ago with the expectation of staying in a four star hotel as rated in your *********** listing. The location of the hotel is spectacular with scenic views of the mountains. The building itself is lovely and spending time in the spa area was also very relaxing. The hotel is rated as a four star and their prices are a reflection of that rating. However, this hotel is hardly a three star mainly because of the rundown state of the furnishings and lack of cleanliness in the room and spa area. In the room there was a broken frame and visibly damaged table. In the bathroom there was a broken glass shelf and there was grime in every bottom corner of the bath and shower. Some of the large glass panes in the spa were clean while others were encrusted with deposits to the point that you could not see through them and made them look grimy and dirty. I don't believe that this hotel in its current state should be rated any higher than 2.5 or 3 stars and the hotel prices should also be adjusted to such reality. Not doing so would be a misrepresentation of this hotel to patrons that make a booking at this hotel. I informed the receptionist about all of this and even left my email hoping that the manager would contact me immediately. I was disappointed that they didn't.

This hotel is awful. Overpriced for what you get. The hotel has an "Overlook Hotel" atmosphere. The rooms have an extremely strange smell. The rooms have very old worn down ugly furniture, the bathroom is in poor condition as some of the tiles are cracked and moldy, and don't look very clean. The rooms do not have a bathtub. Flies routinely land on your food and the food is that is available is not worthwhile, or appetizing. The staff is not very hospitable and you can't even get an espresso, when you take into account that this is Spain, an espresso is the type of coffee that is routinely served everywhere. The only thing the hotel has going for it is the scenery, which faces beautiful mountains. That said I expected Jack Nicholson to come out any minute with an ax. If you want to use the "spa" which is basically a jaccuzzi, you must make an an appointment. Even that is not available past 6:00 PM, which completely defeats the purpose if you decide to go out hiking and just want a warm soak after you get back. Spend your money elsewhere.

Beautiful location, spacious rooms, great breakfirst, wonderfull spa, charming in an old-fashioned way, but… - The hotel feels outdated and “tired” in terms of maintenance and employees - The restaurant had good moments, but was below average compared to the many great restaurants in Spain - The outside pool was closed, which was a big disapointment travelling with kids (children are welcome in the spa, but they of course cannot play arround as kids do) - We received very little help to arrange tours, finding another pool etc. In general the most commen answer to requests in the reception was “no” and the service and kindness was not as we have experienced in the rest of Northen Spain - Location is gorgeous with mountain views but not practical, since it is in the boundary to Picos de Europa, so expect 30-45 minutes driving to reach the cable car and best trails Book it, if you appreciate a historic feeling in a hotel. Picos de Europa is by the way amazing and we had some wonderfull days with hiking, canyoning and food.

Habitación sucia, la habitación de los ácaros, atención de recepción y limpieza con carencias graves. La recepcionista dijo que hablaría con director y nos diría algo a partir de ahí todas las veces que la vimos se escondía detrás del ordenador. El entorno está bien pero vaya paga una posada en el pueblo y lo disfrutarás igual y podrás ir al balneario y todo pagando mucho menos y seguro que más limpio, porque menos es imposible.

Han sido unos días de relax total… el sitio es único en mitad de los Picos de Europa y junto al río Deva. Unos acantilados que te asustan y a la vez maravillan. Las aguas termales y el spa es de 10… merece la pena d**** el viaje y el restaurante también está genial con una carta corta pero exquisita. El desayuno buffet estupendo para luego irte a andar .

Hemos estado hace un par de días y la experiencia muy mala. La habitación muy mejorable, mesillas descuidadas y el grifo de la ducha perdía agua. Cuando bajamos al balneario no había nadie y estuvimos esperando un rato. Finalmente llego una chica con un abrigo de calle y nos explico como funcionaba pero sin grandes explicaciones. Por otro lado y lo más grave para mí, hicimos la reserva de un masaje y cuando llego el momento nos comentan que no lo tenían apuntado en su agenda ( En el ordenador si lo tenían apuntado)y que no podía realiz****. ¿Para que hemos ido a un Balneario ? Queriamos un servicio completo. Nos quedamos a medias. Lo comenté en recepción y ningún detalle, ninguna explicación!! Hay que tener en recepción plantilla más resolutiva y que consiga que el cliente se vaya con una buena sensación. Lo positivo un camarero nuevo que habia, muy atento y muy agradable. No volveremos!!!

Finde semana perfecto ideal para desconectar y disfrutar de un balneario unico con unos profesionales excelentes. Si quieres no necesitas ni salir del hotel porque tienen un restaurante de muy buena calidad y un trato perfecto. 100% recomendable

Nos sentimos estafados. Lo único bueno que tiene el alojamiento es el entorno, entre montañas, aislado de todo. Los camareros también son agradables y atentos. Reservamos una noche con circuito de balneario y desayuno para dos, 250€ oferta Genius en booking. Llegamos y no nos explican nada, ni horario de desayuno, nada. Subimos a la habitación 315, ninguna de las que aparecen en las fotos, ni vistas ni nada, era una bohardilla con una ventana en el techo únicamente que si se veía la montaña, los techos de hormigón visto, el colchón de muelles y la cama sonaba, supuestamente era con bañera, bañera nada ducha y muy antigua que había que regular el agua caliente en un grifo y la fría en otro, el secador del baño amarillento completamente, el minibar tenía dos botellas de agua pequeñas solo, la caja fuerte no funcionaba, no tenía toallas, llamamos a recepción para pedirlas, buscando el teléfono en Google porque en el de la habitación no lo ponía, tardaron 20 minutos en subirlas y más detalles de dejadez como que a la mesita le faltaba un pomo, la televisión estaba a un lado de la cama… En cuanto al restaurante solo desayunamos y el precio es muy elevado para lo que ofrecen y la calidad, se aprovechan de que no hay nada cercano para comer y por eso tendrán esos precios…En cuanto al balneario no nos informaron de que hay dos opciones, el circuito y las cuevas, nosotros solo teníamos el circuito que estaba con demasiado aforo, con una sauna estropeada, otra sauna no cerraba bien y no explican prácticamente nada. En resumen este lugar perdió las 4 estrellas hace muchos muchos años, una desilusión total y una pérdida de dinero, espero que no caiga más gente en este engaño.

Llegamos sábado tarde. En recepción se nos asigna habitación sin mayor ahondamiento de servicios u horarios dentro del hotel. Tan solo se nos entregan tres albornoces con la obligación de devolverlos en mismo lugar en el momento de salida (sorprendente). Tercera planta, habitación con altillo. Calor asfixiante y no demasiado cuidada: cabecero roto, algún interruptor roto, en la mampara de la ducha faltaba goma de protección lo que hacía que tras cada baño tuviéramos que recoger agua. Dos sillones llenos de lamparones y un caramelo bajo la cama amén de múltiples “pelusones”. Reserva en spa 17;15. Accedemos al mismo y se nos indica debemos esperar. No menos de 15 personas en igual situación. Una señora nos explica y administra tiempos: 30 minutos aquí, después salen y 20 allí y por último 10 allá… se la consulta donde está el reloj para seguir la suiza precisión que se nos exige: ¡vinimos a relajarnos!. Las instalaciones pequeñas y abarrotadas. Coger chorro era una mezcla de disimulo y carrera. A la mañana siguiente desayuno digno con camareros serios y profesionales. Un pelo en la tortilla de patata… Pequeño bufe y carta para pedir algunas cosas directamente a cocina: bien. Abandonamos instalaciones. Cargamos con albornoces, comunicamos suciedad habitación y desperfectos. Se le caen las estrellas. Cuidado.
