Las Gaviotas Condo-Hotel la Paz Bcs

Just returned from a week in La Paz BCS at Las Gaviotas and couldn't be happier. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and well taken care of. Hector and Alejandra (the owners/managers) were exceptional - friendly, helpful and always going above and beyond to make sure we were happy! BTW: don't bother booking your activities in advance as Hector has expert recommendations on everything/anything in La Paz. Hector saved us significant costs on an Espiritu Santos trip that we had preliminarily booked with an online outfitter and also sent us to our favorite restaurants/meals (at a discount) of the trip. The suite was quite spacious and had a fantastic bay view from the large balcony - with absolutely spectacular sunsets over the lively malecon (do consider that this comes with a little "ambient" noise). Comfortable beds and living space, well equipped kitchen and a pool (which we took advantage of daily). The neighborhood (even beyond all the options on the seafront) had all the amenities needed and some lovely dining options. A completely lovely oasis in La Paz!

Great location, good unit size and layout, very nice staff, close to the beach and restaurants. Off street parking is very good. The view from our unit was great. The pool is okay and is secure from outside influences. The problem is the units smell musty or moldy. Not a place we will return until they do a renovation.

We stayed 5 nights in this lovely hotel in a great location just off the Malecon. The rooms were massive with 2 double bedrooms and well appointed kitichette. The sunset views from our spacious balcony were spectacular. What makes this place so special is Hector, his wife and their team for whom nothing is too much trouble. We will be back!

Right on the malecon and steps away from our good friends at Tailhunter's. Beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez, cool ac, full kitchen, and clean pool. Hector and his wife always make you feel right at home. There's no better place to stay in La Paz.

Made our annual fishing vacation to La Paz and had the pleasure of staying at the Las Gaviotas Resort. The room was a gorgeous 3rd floor 2-bedroom condo overlooking the beautiful La Paz bay. Complete with a full kitchen, ceiling fans in every room, refreshing ac, and a balcony to take in the amazing sunsets over the Sea of Cortez. Garage parking kept our rental car cool and we were just steps from the malecon and our favorite dining spot at Tailhunters. Everything was absolutely perfect! The property manager Hector was an amazing host. He and his team made us feel welcome, safe, and at home with all the perks of an waterfront resort. Highly recommend visiting Hector at Las Gaviotas for your next stay in La Paz!

Hector and his staff were always ready to help us. The place was spacious and well located (though noisy during Carnaval time). Sunsets were amazing. The hotel isn't new and is showing it's age but a good spring cleaning could help. The pool was great - no chlorine smell at all. great beds too.

I am submitting this review on behalf of my husband Bill Went to play golf in La Paz and stayed at this resort for 4 nights. I found the resort to be a great place to stay. The rooms are big and comfortable, with good size beds, kitchen with everything you would need to prepare meals if you chose to. The pool is very well maintained. The most important asset of the resort is the staff. Hector and his staff provide 5 star service. They are also problem solvers, if you have a transportation issue or need a piece of difficult to find equipment,they are happy to help figure out a solution. I highly recommend this resort.

My wife and kids stayed at Las Gaviotas last month and had a wonderful experience! The hotel manager, Hector, is very friendly and helpful. The location is perfectly situated near the Malecon. The hotel accommodations are great with large bedrooms, a full kitchen, and balconies with a beautiful view.

The location is perfect--one block off the Malecon, with amazing views for the bay. Rooms were large and clean (love having a kitchen), and our family of five was comfortable and had a wonderful time. On top of all that, the staff were lovely people and always went above-and-beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. So helpful!
