Bed and Chic

I had a very comfortable room with unexpected amenities for the price. Great location, close to restaurants, shops, beach, and transit. When there were humans at reception, they were friendly and helpful. Sleep is impossible on weekends due to loud music from a bar adjacent to the hotel. There’s a lot to love about the place, but I won’t stay there again. I’m quite put off by businesses, hotels and many others, who have decided they don’t want to be inconvenienced by hiring humans and paying them a living wage. At Bed and Chic, rooms are seldom cleaned and hours when a human is at reception are very limited. I needed human assistance at checkout. There was none and responses to my attempts to get help through What’sApp and email were too late. If that’s how they want to run their hotel, that’s fine, but I won’t be playing along. Too bad. Bed and Chic could otherwise be the best place to stay in Las Palmas.

I had a one month stay on a business trip. Sadly, my room looked nothing like the published photos. Small bathroom with stains on the tiled floor and fly screens in a state of disrepair. In-room kettle but had to beg for a mug. And no tea or coffee, need to go to the Hipo Dino supermarket about a 5 minute walk away. There is a fridge but no other facilities. No rugs on the floor. No pictures on the wall. No shades on the lamps. No comfortable chair. Room is made up every other day. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Sheets won't be changed unless specifically requested. No breakfast, but available nearby (no earlier than 0800). Laundry also available a short walk away. There is a popular bar on the ground floor of the building on the street to the rear of the property and the noise on Friday and Saturday evenings is loud. Really loud. It goes on from about 6pm to 2am. Music and general talk that sounds like a constant swarm of bees. I was in room 107 which is directly above. Sleep is very difficult to come by. I had a colleague with a room on the front of the building and he reported similar noise there. There is no escape from it.

Great room, the service was very good, it was a great value boutique hotel and in a fabulous location, as described...It is often very noisy (very loud music and partying), which we did not know about when we booked. There is a bar, which is beneath the rooms and belongs to the hotel that comes to life at about 9.00pm and goes on well into the night at the weekend and on public holidays. You need to know they don't go to bed much before 2am. We had very enjoyable stay and will be recommending to family and friends.

We stayed here on a business trip, and the location is amazing - right in the heart of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with easy walking access to all the shopping, bars and restaurants around. Incredible value for money, very cool automated check in, very responsive staff and communication skills. Good value parking nearby. The rooms are modern, with loads of sockets, great wifi, comfortable beds and fantastic air conditioning. But many of the beautiful original features of the lovely old building have been left intact. Highly recommended, and for sure, we will use this hotel every time we stay in Las Palmas.

Everything from the pre-arrival info to our departure was fantastic. We booked an attic room which gave us a small private terrace and direct access to a large shared roof terrace, which was perfect for having a coffee in the mornings or a beer in the evenings. The location could not be better, the hotel is right on the busy Parque Santa Catalina with loads of cafes and bars and a 5 minute walk to Canteras Beach for the shoppers, El Corte Inglés is around 20 minutes walk away and Triana is around €5 in a taxi. The room was comfortable and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel director was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We can't wait to come back.

Y la calidad del colchón no es estupendo. - Falta un armario para las ropas. Con una estancia de una semana no es muy cómodo no tener un armario o unas estanterías de madera en la pared para las ropas. - El servicio de limpieza no era inmaculado. - Tacaño con papel higiénico - hay que verificar cada dia para asegur**** que hay y sino preguntar. - El personal no es proactivo: p.ej. la posibilidad de reservar de antemano un taxi hacia el aeropuerto. * no recomiendo: por el precio tenía expectativas que no cumplieran. * Este establecimiento sólo alquila habitaciones. Ni más ni menos. El nombre de hotel boutique es completamente erróneo. No responde ni al concepto de 'boutique' ni al concepto de 'hotel'. Una verdadera desinformación y ... en definitiva, una verdadera desilusión.

Llegamos de noche y nos recibió  una cucaracha cerca de la puerta de la habitación,  en la pared, y otra patas arriba dentro, en la encimera. La segunda noche, te levantas al baño y te encuentras otra cucaracha viva correteando, espabílate bien porque te toca matarla y después a la cama con el cortisol bien alto del cabreo. Ante las quejas, pasan a poner 'producto' y 3 trampas. Tercera noche, cucaracha de nuevo en el baño, una cría. Con ésta no vale el que subió 3 pisos de la calle, del bar de al lado... La cuarta noche no vimos cucarachas, habría alguna, ¿que piensan ustedes? El tiempo que pasamos en este alojamiento se puede describir como una sensación de asqueo y de estar alerta a ver por dónde te iba a salir la cucaracha. El personal se disculpó en repetidas ocasiones pero la solución a este  inaceptable problema le corresponde a la dirección, y lo que se percibe es que no les quita el sueño, como me lo ha quitado a mí.

Ubicacion e instalaciones perfectas. Recomendable para parejas o negocios. Habitaciones estilo vintage, con todo lo necesario para una estancia comoda y agradable. Relación calidad precio muy buena.
