Le centre de Leipzig est situé à proximité de la ville de Leipzig. A quelques minutes de la gare de trains et quelques minutes à pied de la principale zone commerciale, ainsi qu'une grande sélection de bars et restaurants. Bien que nous n'ayons pas eu le petit déjeuner, il a l'air très bien.

La location est excellente, à proximité de la gare et du centre-ville. Petit déjeuner est bon marché et avec une sélection surprenant grande. Très bien! Si vous n'avez besoin que d'un endroit pour dormir pendant quelques nuits, cet hôtel est certainement une option!

The Townhouse Leipzig was one of our favorite hotels on our recent Germany and Austria vacation. Set in the heart of Leipzig within one of the oldest Rennaissance buildings in the city, the Townhouse is next door to the Bach Museum and steps away from Thomaskirche and the iconic statue of the great composer. Our top-floor room looked directly out on Thomaskirche and the Bach statue. Upon entering the hotel for the first time, we were impressed by the beautiful style and creativity of the unique decor and lighting, the charming furnishings, and the friendliness of the staff. Our spacious suite was spotless, had a kitchenette, comfortable couches, a nice flat-screen television, a large modern bathroom, quality linens and pillows, and a warm, welcoming message from the staff. Above the king bed was a large reproduction of one of Bach's cantata manuscripts. The windows opened up onto a stunning view of Thomaskirche and the surrounding city. The Townhouse Leipzig offers free high-speed Wi-Fi, a laundry service, a fitness area with workout equipment, a sauna, and a library! The restaurant provides excellent buffet breakfasts. We found several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance, including Johann S Restaurant & Bar a few steps from the hotel. The front desk staff were so helpful assisting us throughout our stay, looking up museum times and tram routes and schedules for us. The rest of the staff throughout the hotel and restaurant were friendly, helpful, and very professional. The price was surprisingly affordable, given the location and the quality of hotel, and the surrounding area was quiet at night. We loved being wakened by the Thomaskirche bells in the morning. The one minor inconvenience is the lack of on-site parking—not surprising given the unique location—but they offer a convenient unloading and loading area for luggage, and we found easy parking adjacent to Thomaskirche a two-minute walk from the hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend this excellent boutique hotel to anyone visiting the city center, and if you're in Leipzig on a Bach pilgrimage and need a great place to stay, look no further.

The hotel is located beside the largest train station in Germany and both are on the other side of the Ring Road that surrounds the Old Town. So the location is great. We were off to a bad start – they couldn’t give us our room at 1:30 and they asked us to wait. We thought we’d be called if the room became free since they asked us to wait in the lounge area - but not true. When we went back at 2:45, the room was already ready. The lobby itself is quite functional, with a bar off to one side. There were lounge tables and chairs but they belonged to the bar so occasionally, the waiter would ask if we wanted to order anything. We were immediately struck by the room doors which had full sized drawings of famous people associated with Leipzig. Cute! Entering the guest room, you immediately had floor to ceiling mirrors fronting the T&B. There were touches of dark wood, wallpaper with tiny Latin texts – after all, Leipzig is the German publishing capital – and strangely, a wall of unpainted cement. We had seen this unpainted wall style décor in the previous hotel in Nurnberg – and we still found it strange. The headboard is fully clothed in leather which impressed us. There were switches on both sides of the headboard, something you’d see in an airline business class seat. There was only a small ledge where a night stand should be but it was sufficient for most purposes. The TV was large sized and had BBC and SKY News as their English language channels. Below it was the work desk which was also fully functional, with enough electric outlets. There was a mini bar, a coffee machine, and an electric water kettle. Accent lighting was good. Even much better was the motion-detecting footlights around the bed. If you so much as sat up on bed at night (presumably to go to the WC), the footlights automatically came on – what a lifesaver! Two thirds of one wall had floor to ceiling windows. The windows looked out into the edge of the city center. My wife appreciated the heated toilet floor (which I didn’t even notice). The mirror had great rim lighting and a close-up mirror attached to the middle, which she found perfect. But there were no amenities – cotton, shower cap, sewing kit, etc.) Breakfast was very impressive. The food fare was extensive – really exceptional - with an egg station to boot. But the tables were close together so not too much privacy. And pretty much self service.

Nous sommes arrivés en retard pour causer un détournement déplorable et une grande mensonge de la part de l'accompagnante de groupe au propriétaire de l'hôtel. La vérité cruelle et l'admission par l'assistant de son incompétence... Malgré tout, le titulaire a été très gentil, à mon avis, ainsi que la famille et la direction de la ville. J'ai eu du déjeuner allemand (comme quelques-uns) et varié, chambre spacieuse et fraîche. Petit déjeuner superlatif. Si je rentre, je choisirais encore cet hôtel. My stay at the Westin Leipzig was okay. They did a half-renovation, but it leaves the hotel feeling dated still. What do I mean? I used Marriott Suite Night Awards to upgrade to the Executive Suite. For some strange reason they did not renovate the foyer area of the room, which had some ugly granite that contrasted starkly with the nicely renovated bedroom, bathroom and separate living area. None of the door hardware was updated, so they’re brass while bathroom hardware is chrome. There was a random frame in the foyer with nothing in the frame. They replaced the carpet in the hallways, but the wall treatment looked like someone wiped their greasy hands all over - likely something that was a trendy look in the 90s. The fitness/spa area is in serious need of an updated, felt like a warp back in time to the 70s. Lines were long at check-in even with the front desk fully staffed, seems like their was a conference so that is understandable. However, the agent assisting the Elite line that I was in just walked away with saying anything, so we had to merge with another line and wait even longer. There was no in-room coffee at a 4-star hotel and my first morning I went down to the breakfast area to get a coffee to-go. One bottle of 4.5€ water available in the room - I got two free bottles when I stayed at the Moxy in Dresden. Bed was quite firm and was two twin mattresses pushed together. Bed at the the Moxy was way more comfortable. Blackout curtains didn’t overlap, so woke up every morning at 5am as soon as the sun came up. It looked like the rug in the living area hadn’t been vacuumed as you could see shoe prints all over from the previous guest. There’s a nice Bose stereo in the room but the wireless remote had a dead battery rendering the stereo useless. The neighboring room obviously has an option to be adjoining but the door provided minimal soundproofing and your neighbors might as well have been in the same room. Breakfast was standard fare, nothing to be excited about. The first morning no one stopped by to ask for my room number so I just left. As a Bonvoy Elite member you do have the option to get a free drink in the bar, the guy at the bar was easily the friendliest staff member I encountered.

Belle chambre avec simple équipement mais grande et propre. Petit déjeuner minimaliste mais suffisant pour le prix. Il n'y a pas assez de brosser. La télévision devait se connecter à l'internet, donc seulement 2 chaînes parce que la connexion n'a pas réussi. Très bruyant dans la maison, car l'auberge de jeunesse. Le masque ne sera pas mis en œuvre, cela nous a perturbés massivement.

En général, un hôtel décent, mais notre AC n'était pas en service dans la chambre et n'a pas répondu au téléphone en appelant plusieurs fois la réception, ce qui était très décevant. Nous avons pu parfois aussi parfumer des cigarettes du système de ventilation. Le petit déjeuner était bien. Sans les problèmes, il est un hôtel très décent.

This very sad hotel stuck in the 90’s was very disappointing . The hotel staff were friendly, but one couldn’t tell the staff from guests apart, because they didn’t wear a uniform or have name badges on. The room was very dark. Dark old rug, very dark wooden closets that were way to large for the room. That dark furniture had seen better days and the bed wasn’t comfortable. The bathroom a nightmare. The shower was old and dingy, black spots of mold between the grout. The soap dispenser was over 1 meter away from the sink. Very nerve racking. The breakfast buffet was somewhat disappointing. There was almost everything available, but the long lines at the 1 coffee maker wasn’t an ideal situation. After 1 week , I was happy to leave.

Nous étions déjà la deuxième fois, dans un court délai, des invités dans cet hôtel confortable et moderne, parce que nous nous sommes tellement aimés et nous nous sommes sentis bien. À cet égard, il n'y a vraiment rien à manquer! Tout le personnel est tout à fait très aimable et utile. Les filles à la réception accueillent les invités avec un sourire et convainquent à tout moment avec leur patience et leur compétence. Vous vous sentez vraiment bienvenue ici. Ce qui nous a très bien apprécié, c'est que tous les employés de tous les départements, tels que la cuisine, la réception, le service, etc., se réunissent tous les jours pour une courte pause de petit déjeuner et parlent. Ainsi, la communication fonctionne au-delà de son propre domaine, renforce le sentiment commun et facilite la coopération - ce qui profite enfin aux invités. Le petit-déjeuner buffet est bien organisé et offre quelque chose pour chaque goût. Les cocktails au bar sont vraiment délicieux et la pizza est aussi bon goût. Les chambres sont lumineuses et confortables, avec de grandes fenêtres acoustiques. J'ai des problèmes de dos extrêmes, mais j'ai pu dormir très bien dans les lits confortables. La salle de bain est aussi moderne et confortable, avec de grands miroirs et des bains de lave-vaisselle cornéens, et des surfaces suffisantes. Il n'y a rien qui n'est utilisé ici et vous vous sentez bien. À l'occasion de mon anniversaire rond, nous avons reçu une mise à niveau de la chambre pour une suite superbe lors de notre deuxième visite. Ceci était sensiblement plus grand, a également un réservoir, salle de bains et WC sont séparés ici. Très agréable, surtout quand vous êtes trop second. À ce moment-là, encore une fois, mes sincères remerciements pour ce merveilleux cadeau!!! (C'est bon que personne ne nous a vu se tenir aux mains de joie et sauter autour des enfants). Nous reviendrons, je suis sûr que je suis heureux 😘
