Hotel Fortunella

We have recently returned from a a week's holiday at this fantastic hotel. The hotel is in a good position with only a short walk from the promenade. This is a family run hotel all the staff are helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We had a lovely room overlooking the garden, the housekeeping was excellent the towels were changed daily and everywhere was spotless. There is a safe and a fridge in the rooms free of charge. We were assigned a table for the week which is good as you do not have to look for tables, there is a good choice of food which was delicious and plentiful there is also a good choice of wines. We had a great holiday at this lovely hotel

We have just come back from spending a week at this wonderful hotel. We came back totally relaxed and wanting to go back as soon as possible. The rooms have everything you would need and are cleaned daily. We had a lovely view of the mountains from our balcony and every morning that would be the first thing I did, open the shutters to see them. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you, they are all working so hard. Now to the food, what can I say apart from absolutely amazing!!!! The breakfast was plentiful, with delicious cheeses and cold meats. My husband loved the scrambled eggs and bacon in the morning. The evening meal was the highlight, four courses of the most wonderful food I have ever eaten and the service was impeccable. Close to all public transport, we were able to visit Pisa, Lucca and Cinque Terra. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend.

This family run hotel is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is spotlessly clean. Each room has a balcony where we enjoyed an evening G&T. The food is fabulous way beyond what I expected of a three star hotel. Very close to the wonderful beach and bus stops to various places of interest.

Just arrived back today 8th of May 2024. Lovely family hotel nothing to much trouble, very helpful for travel advice bus and train times and where to catch them from. Bedroom's very bright and very clean, fresh towels daily. Plenty of choice for breakfast and evening meal fabulous. Thank you for a fantastic week's holiday. Julie and James.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted like we were long lost friends. The hotel is small, clean and perfectly located for a great holiday! Nothing is too much trouble for the fabulous team here! The food is all freshly cooked, with the hotel providing an excellent variety of traditional dishes and accompanied by a wonderful selection of Tuscan wines. We asked for our wine to be selected by the team and every evening the choice of absolutely spot on! The team go above and beyond with a fabulous breakfast with lots of choices from a full English to a sumptuous continental selection including wonderful homemade cakes. They also offer so much more giving excellent tourist and travel advice including bus tickets, bike hire and discounts at the wonderful private beaches.

Just got back from 14 days at the Fortunella Hotel. Got to say from the moment we got there we had a warm welcome from Gracia and Salvatore and to choose our 4 course meal within minutes of arriving late and not expecting anything , the food for the hole stay was the best Hotel food by far the rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. Salvatore was so helpful with advising where to travel to, Pisa , Lucca were a bus ride away and Florence a train ride away the beach was 10 minutes walk we did 2 gigs Kiss in Lucca and Lana del rey in Lido de camorrie within the 2 weeks. Bottom line this Hotel is a gem love this area would highly recommend and we will be returning!!.

We stayed at Fortunella Hotel for a week in May. This was our second stay at the hotel and it didn’t disappoint - still as good as last year. Salvatore and Grazia go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. They are always available to help with travel arrangements or anything else you may need. Food is plentiful and excellent quality - 4 courses at dinner with several choices. Rooms are cleaned every day with towels changed daily also. All areas of the hotel are spotlessly clean. There is a garden at the back of the hotel where you can relax and enjoy the sunshine. A good base for visiting other Towns and Villages - the bus service is very good with bus stops all close to the hotel. We had an excellent weeks holiday and will plan to return again.

I chose the hotel given the excellent reviews I had read, and I was not disappointed. The food really is of an excellent quality and beautifully presented. The hotel has a happy hour for pre-dinner drinks and a nice selection of wines too. All the staff, and Salvatore and Grazia that run the hotel, are very friendly and helpful. This included providing information about where to buy bus tickets, bus stops and time tables. The hotel is exceptionally clean too. It was very easy to use the buses travelling to Lucca, Pisa and Pietrasanta, and they appeared to be very reliable. The beach which is a short walking distance from the hotel is clean, with a nice promenade. There's also a local market along the promenade on a Monday morning. If you're looking for a nice friendly hotel, with excellent food and service, I would definitely recommend. I definitely will return again.

This is the second time my wife and myself have stayed at the Hotel Fortunella in the last 2 years. If you are looking for fantastic food, fantastic service and a very friendly family run hotel, situated in a lovely area, within striking distance of Florence, Pisa, Lucca and many other places by Bus or Train then look no further. The hotel is nicely decorated and has a restaurant which serves 4 courses for dinner all brought to your table by very friendly and efficient staff as well as the owners. It also has good size bedrooms a bar / lounge for pre dinner drinks also a garden area. The area of Lido di Camaiore has a good promenade with shops and restaurants, that extend to the next resort of Viareggio which is about 2.5 miles away, there are plenty of private beaches for which you can get a discount on from the hotel, that have all the facilities if you want to chill out for a day or two, all within a short walk from the hotel. Bus stops are 200 to 300 meters away and you can get all you bus tickets from the tobaconist by the bus stop also your water. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, so much so that after speaking to my Daughter and son - in - law about our experience they have made a booking for a 2 week stay in May 2024.
