We were in Ligonier for a golf tournament to honor my late father. We booked four rooms at Thistledown at Segar House and were very pleased with the accomodations. Adam was our point of contact when making the reservations and was very pleasant. The accomodations were excellent. It was very clean and decorated very tastefully. We all had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back again.

Gorgeous house, stayed in room 202 so I could take long baths in the beautiful bathroom. Absolutely the peaceful break I needed. I really enjoyed the town, we walked to Rosalie’s Jioio’s Little Italy for dinner and Abigails Coffee for breakfast and walked through the shops. Sweet little town of friendly people and this boutique hotel was the cream on top.

The facility overall was wonderful. The design and finish of the facility, common spaces and bedrooms was warm, well taken care of and comfortable. We really appreciated the pet friendly atmosphere and the location in the heart of Ligonier was super convenient.

I am a little baffled by the negative reviews. We found contacting the manager to be easy and pleasant. The room, 201, was lovely and perfect for our brief stay. Everything was clean and coffee/tea/water was easy enough although I felt like other guests’ mom adding water to keurig and throwing away used pods - which is NO fault of Thistledown. Perfect location for event at The Barn, easy to walk or drive to Kitchen on Main for heavenly breakfast. We have absolutely nothing negative about our stay and would not hesitate to return. Thank you!

This lodging was not as advertised. On the website it said there was breakfast and lunch available. No breakfast or lunch or dinner in this “boutique hotel” We were booked for 2 nights. Room was not cleaned after first night nor were we even offered clean towels! No manager on site. My wife left her key in the room. Could not even get back into the building at 11:30 am. Called the number on the door and it went to Voicemail. Finally returned call at 12:15pm. Could not get out of parking lot to drive anywhere Large truck blocking the exit and no one around to ask to move it! One star for bathroom One star for bed Won’t be returning!

There were many positives about our stay that could receive four stars, but there were several big shortcomings which made me lean to an average rating. First the positives: excellent location just off the square; room was recently renovated; large bathroom; and the rooms and bathroom were very clean. Now the shortcomings: room on the third floor was too small for two queens - no chairs so you had to sit on the bed; hallways on second and third floors were not airconditioned; manager was not on site so you had to call with any requests (but always answered and was responsive); our room was not serviced for our final night; most of the TV channels were selling products; and the front door was usually locked so had to use rear entrance.

We stayed overnight on Christmas Eve 2022, after skiing at Seven Springs. We assumed there would be nothing to eat so after calling around everywhere BUT the hotel, we picked up a pizza, and when we got to the hotel, saw that the beautiful restaurant was open! Missed opportunity for us. The place was so charming, warm, cozy, and we LOVED the table right outside our room with coffee from a Keurig, real mugs, K-Cups, not horrible hotel coffee, ice water in glasses, etc. Staff had turned the radiator heater on for us and there was a music station playing Christmas music on the TV. It was perfect! We will definitely be back

Beautiful and comfortable! Just a tip- there is an elevator, we didn’t notice it until the day we left! The restaurant/bar had excellent service, food, and adult beverages. Very convenient to the downtown shops and restaurants. Easy drive to the Flight 93 Memorial and nearby Frank Lloyd Wright houses.

As the room we stayed in was pleasant enough, it was too bright at night for sleep for me, even with everything (drapes, etc.) closed. I suppose we were offered food at the facility, but in a manner of outside seating and being subject to hearing live, somewhat loud (C&W music -not our choice) during the meal - it was hardly a value for the $. Ergo, we didn't dine there. Although I was not involved with scheduling the stay, it seems there could have been a staff person, or the owner, present to welcome us. Perhaps when this site was once a B&B, overall ratings might have been better. However, "average" rating is the best I can offer.
