Good location! Near to station

Location is good for the 02, room and bed was very good, lovely pillows and mattress was very comfortable, lovely hot water for a shower, and good Internet.we had air con so could control the room temperture, and a added bonus of a fridge, and coffee machine.

Good Hotel, but you need to request the cleaning of your room, if you stay for more than one night. I'd wish they would have mentioned that when i checked in.. I noticed this policy when it was too late. (The request must be made until noon) When i gave feedback about that, the receptionist didn't seem to care at all about that. She said that's there policy for quite some time now...

Room, corridor, bathroom are not well clean. The guest relations team not helpful at all. The website is not customer friendly. No help can be provided after check-in. The reception staff ask me to check-in first then call the guest-relation team for help and when doing so Guest- Relations team said they can't help me and the operator Jack was rude on the phone. He need customer relation training.

The good points first. The bed was comfortable and, despite overlooking, a main railway line, very quiet. Our room was small but comfortable with an armchair as well as a desk. The great problem was that the hotel, as with most PI's, is dated. The décor in the main part of the hotel is pretty tired and it's about time the owners reviewed their building stock. We had a dinner and two breakfasts. They were okay although my wife received the wrong starter, she was too polite to say anything but that should not happen. Breakfasts were chaotic, one person in the kitchen trying to rustle up food for so many was ridiculous. It didn't help that the hot food was on a counter by the open kitchen so he was running around with loads of requests. The serving area is too small and cramped. Now for my main complaint with premier Inn's, they are all the same but this was the worse we have had. The subject: IT infrastructure! It started the moment we arrived as the QR code that would check me in easily failed to work. I had to check-in procedure reverted to a member of staff doing it as well as her other jobs. Then I foolishly paid £5 for the 'Ultimate WiFi', I never learn. Free WiFi has a speed of about 5Mbps which is ridiculous but 'Ultimate' measured a disgraceful 8 Mbps. What is 'ultimate' about that. Most homes have a minimum 50 Mbps and some 500 Mbps or more. I could not even open my emails on my laptop so I had to revert to 5g on my phone. Then when we had dinner we were unable to pay with a credit card as the card readers failed to work so we had to pay cash. We do not usually have ready cash so they were lucky. Finally wanting a snack having returned from a late show I tried to get crisps from the vending machine, sadly the credit card did not work. It is possible to blame the provider of the machine but I suspect the internet was insufficient to support the transaction. Every premier Inn I visit I have similar problems but this really is the worst.
