HOT (like really bad), inconvenient toilet design, clean room, odor in hallway. The room gets so hot it is actually cooler OUTSIDE even when London is going through a heat wave. Bob W has a fan, and no AC. The room is like a furnace. You can turn the fan on at highest, open the window, point the fan in your face, wear sleeveless shirt and shorts, sleep with no covers, AND YOU’RE STILL sweating back of your neck. It’s like you’re paying to be gently baked all night long. This kind of air ventilation seems like a medical emergency waiting to happen. There is NOTHING you can do. The fan is just blowing hot air back all around. You can’t get cool. Bob W needs to get better fans or solve this. Understandably it can’t equip rooms with AC but being in the room wasn’t very pleasant. It was like being stuck sleeping in the upper deck of a no-AC double decker bus. Even with London’s heat wave, it doesn’t explain and a hotel room shouldn’t be so bad that the heat wave weather outside is actually cooler than Bob W Olympia room inside. That’s a big big problem. I want to give Bob W 4 stars, but the room was so hot it really diminishes the overall experience. The location is good, the staff is very responsive on message, the room is clean and stylish and well equipped with amenities — fridge, water kettle, cup, dish, good toilet paper, excellent soap, body wash, conditioner and shampoo. The other star subtracted is for the odd-toilet-sink oversight. Please note the bathroom is very very small which isn’t a problem but I think the designers should have gotten a smaller sink. The sink edge is over and right above the toilet…which means you are always using the toilet at a 45* angle. You can never sit normal when using the toilet. I’ve seen Bob W customer team’s responses about maximizing space and efficiency in its design. But at some point leadership should probably just call a spade a spade and admit when it’s an oversight instead of excuse. When multiple customers have flagged the exact same thing about not being able to use the toilet normally, then no the design did not maximize efficiency. It just maximized toilet deficiency and was a very bad design planning. Leadership should come actually come and sit on one of its toilets. TIP: make sure your phone has battery and reception when you’re checking in or coming back to hotel. My favorite nightmare was coming back to hotel at night and not able to open my door if my phone was out of battery. (You need to “slide to swipe” on a webpage to open your door). There’s no desk or chair. I’m not mad at it since at this budget it’s not something I was expecting but you should be aware if that’s important to you. Bob W Olympia probably should do something about its hallways and stair carpet and experience. While the room itself is very clean and stylish, the hallway etc has a noticeable carpet odor/stuffiness which contributes to the feeling you’re in a dingy hostel or highway motel, which isn’t the br
