Westbury Hotel

This hotel is ideal for a short break in London. The location is perfect as you are 5 mins from the tube station. You can access all areas of London very easily. The hotel room was tiny but perfectly adequate. It was clear and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom is miniscule. A tall/large person would definitely have difficulty showering. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for one night. Don’t be fooled by the pictures in ***********. Arrived about 3.30 pm, perhaps we got the last of the rooms ! In Basement B6, it was a very small poky room with a double bed against a wall. Not what we are used to.Stuffy and claustrophobic. The view out of the window was an untidy back bit with an old mattresses and broken hoover. Dirty windows. A rubbish TV. We had Only 1 pillow each, so requested another and an iron. A Very helpful young lady gave us both. Then we had music from the next room….loud and played till after 12. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. I did mention the loud music on our way out for the evening to reception hoping that it would have stopped by the time we got back, but unfortunately no. Horrible nights sleep. Good point. The room was relatively clean as well as the small en-suite bathroom. Location good…20 mins walk to Albert Hall. I would have informed all of the above when we checked out, but the receptionist was busy seeing to other customers and we just wanted to be out of there!

Busy time in London so normally would go 4 star but these costing around £750 for two nights decided on 3 star! So positives are the staff very friendly they seem to multi-task, room a bit of an odd shape but very clean, bed comfortable and location excellent. No meals available but that is no problem in London. Only slight annoyance was the shower, in order to get the temperature right you have to reach forward and adjust two taps so it is difficult to get it right without getting your arms blasted with either hot or cold water!! So overall I think go for it!
