Marian the manager was totally unsympathetic to my needs as a guest. It took over an hour to check in as the payment machine was not working. I had come off a direct flight from Australia yet he just fiddled about trying to fix things. It seemed to be my fault that l couldn't pay!! He then used a paper docket with my card details Apparently this didn't work either so later he comes banging on my door, no apologies, demanding another card number. I had been asleep and l found his visit distressing. His attitude was extremely unfriendly and intimidating. He was more interested in Policy than admitting the problem was his in the first place. I was even taken to a room, which was actually occupied!! Never again. The manager seemed to think l was a criminal trying to avoid payment which l found ridiculous at my age, 75. I even offered to go to the ATM, but that wasn't Policy, he kept saying. A nightmare which l still find upsetting.
