Motel Long Lake and Cottages

Absolutely stunning property maintained with the utmost care! Everything was gorgeous and clean and well thought through service was friendly and attentive and helpful. We stayed in a cabin on an impromptu trip with our puppy, and everything we needed was at our fingertips. We cannot stop telling our friends about our trip and we cannot wait to go back!

Our four night stay at Motel Long Lake started off with a little confusion, but part of that was because of our late arrival; it was after 1:30 in the morning when we arrived from Albany Airport at the motel.in our rental car. We had upgraded to a cabin the week before our trip, but it was locked when we got there. Luckily the room we had upgraded from was open so we crashed in number 17 until we sorted things out the next morning. We spent three lovely days in cabin number three surrounded by beautiful trees, a calm lake, and warm days in the 70s. In all the years I've been coming up to Long Lake and Lake Eaton, I never knew what a treasure there was over there in the bay by the marina. Many thanks for making it a wonderful stay. We'll be back!

Short pre season trip to the Lake with my lady, and we checked into “The motel I’ve seen from the town beech my whole life”. We were both so happy and impressed with all of the things we found at the motel. Loved everything inside and out. The lady on the phone that handled my booking was super sweet. Loved it. Thank You. The owners are the very best & super friendly & helpful. This was our 2nd time here & will be back, a beautiful place on Long Lake. The access to hikes is perfect with many great ones nearby. We had dinner it Tupper Lake just up the road & recommend it as a nice town to visit.

Opening up the door to our room was such a lovely surprise. The entire room made us feel welcome. I don't think there was one thing the owners hadn't thought of to make this a pleasant stay. Very best part was the screened in patio with several lounge chairs that looked out on the stream and fall colors. Only stayed one night but will definitely return for a longer visit.

Great place to stay! Excellent location, wonderful atmosphere, many amenities, friendly staff, great service! Cottage was fully furnished, idyllic setting. Outdoor recreation area perfect place to entertain kids, clean sandy beach. Kayaks and canoes available for guests to use.

Overall wonderful experience! Worth the trip and cost! Would highly recommend and would stay again. Room 19 is the best ever!! Beautiful views and a lot to do. Not touristy at all. Only go for solitude and relaxation !! You can even walk to the town of Long Lake for a great meal and explore the town of Long Lake.

We have stayed there many times over the years and have enjoyed our stay . Unfortunately, we see a trend to not accept reservations on a first come first serve basis. Sadly , the owners have moved to refusing to accept reservation until certain , “ special “ customers are accommodated . This is a poor business practice that will eventually catch up with you . You have forgot your beginnings and the loyal customers who do not happen to live Downstate. You allow these groups to book , almost the entire place , monopolizing the beach and all the water craft you supposedly make available for everyone’s use. Will be looking elsewhere and encourage all others to do the same . Lots of options on Long Lake and with people who allow you to book without waiting for a certain client group to check their calendars first . Shame on you. Thought you were better than that .

Where do I begin! While staying at this lovely motel our car broke down Donna and her sister were more than accommodating by extending our stay! Highly recommend! Clean rooms, beautiful view ! We stayed in room #19 at the corner perfect spot!
