The Swan Hôtel is exceptional in every way. The accommodation, staff and food are wonderful. For a really relaxing holiday with wonderful service. I can’t rate it high enough.

Lovely hotel in the center of a small quant sea side town . We had a few issues with our room which were quickly resolved . Service in the dining room was a bit slow on our first evening . Nice bar and great service . Local ales are wonderful

We stayed for 2 nights in a “Fabulous Double”. The room was on the expensive side at £400 a night, but it was very nice. The bedroom and the bathroom were both a good size, spotlessly clean and of a high standard. The bed was very comfy. The food in the restaurant was good although you wouldn’t want to eat here every night as the choices were limited (strangely not as much fish on the menu as I would have expected). The staff at reception, bar and restaurant are all friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. I can recommend the Adnams tours too - we did the lighthouse and the brewery, which were both good fun and informative. A couple of small grumbles: firstly our room was very hot so we had the windows open but we must’ve been near the kitchen as we got food cooking smells coming into the room; also the soundproofing wasn’t very good (although this is probably to be expected in an older building). Overall though a lovely hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommended though expensive hotel. Staff cannot do enough for you - nothing is too much trouble. Really took care of us. Comfortable Superking bed with pristine linen and gorgeous toiletries.

The Swan is in the centre of Southwold. Parking is straightforward and plentiful. We were welcomesd on arrival, and the staff were all helpful and keen to look after us. We ate in the evening, and the food and service were excellent. The hotel is not cheap, but it was well wort the money for a pleasant and comfortable break.

Fantastic stay in the garden rooms. Rooms were beautiful set around a courtyard with outside table & chairs, lovely to sit out with a glass of wine & relax in the sunshine. Rooms so well thought out even had 3 types of glasses wine, champagne & tumbler. Very comfortable beds & luxurious duvet & pilllows. Staff all very friendly & seemed genuinely interested in you. Would have like to stay longer but we will definitely return but with our dog next time!

Our first time at The Swan and we had a great time. The hotel is lovely as are all of the staff. The location is perfect, just a very short walk to the beach.We stayed in one of their ‘Fabulous’ rooms which was great, it was spacious and had everything you could want. We’ll definitely return.

Excellent stay, some minor adjustments to the rooms i.e. Shelf in shower cubicle, softer option for bed as it was too hard possibly a topper that could be used. More shellfish starters and mains on menu to take advantage of coastal location.
