Strandflickornas Havshotell Lysekil

We had a great room with a copper bathtub. The room was very nice. The food in the evening was very nice. The breakfast was ok.

Stayed at this hotel for three days and unfortunately it was one of the worst hotels experience I have ever had. I was unable to sleep in the bed due to the bed and pillow being really uncomfortable, the hotel needs to upgrade them. The walls in the hotel is pretty thin with no noise insulation, if you end up with a neighbor who goes to the bathroom during the nights, that will make a lot of noises in your hotel room which will keep you awake or wake you up if you are lucky enough to get some sleep. The breakfast was basic without a lot of selection. Day 1: Due to condition of the bed and pillows I only managed to get 1 hour of sleep the entire night which was not ideal when you are going to work the next day. Day 2: When I came back to hotel that day, the light in the room was flickering heavily and making the room unbearable to stay in if you required light. Also mentioning that during the entire day nobody had been into the room replacing the used towels. The nice lady in the reception was kind to provide me with another room for the night while they were fixing the light. This room was a lot better with a decent bed and half good pillow where I was able to sleep throughout the night. Day 3: The last night of my stay at this hotel, I was back to the hotel room I had the first night. This night was not better than the first and only managed to get 1.5 hours of sleep this night. I ended up leaving for the airport in Gothenburg during the night as I couldn’t sleep anyway and the facilities at the airport was much better. Apart from not replacing the old towels the only positive thing during my stay was the friendly and helpful staff. For reference I have been staying at a various number of hotels in both Europe and Asia the last 19 weeks and this is by far the worst experience. I usually don’t write ratings good nor bad, but this one definitely deserved one, so that they can improve them self for the future. I myself will not be coming back to this hotel the next time I come to Lysekil.

If you really wish for a cosy, romantic, beautiful place to stay - this is it! Every detail has been paid attention to, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Our room was rather small this time, but there are different kinds of rooms and styles to choose from. We had a wonderful stay and the breakfast was so good. The Christmas decorations made us feel right at home (although in another century! Lovely).

Cosy nice accomodation. Good service, welltasting food, beautiful views and Serviceminded staff. in a historically interesting place. Beautiful jacuzzimoment under the starlighted sky. And a Good cold bathtub. Only missed a sauna

Warm welcome, cosy room and a lovely atmosphere of the old building. Dinner was amazing and breakfast pretty good too. Had a wonderful time celebrating my mothers 75th birthday. We will be back for her 80th! Would highly recommend. We didn’t the “strandpromenaden ” the following day and that was a stunning 6km walk along the cliffs.

Fantastic location with jacuzzi and direct access to the sea including scenic panorama from the sauna. The food and wine was ok, but not as amazing as the place so next time we come, we will arrange our own to maximize the cozy time in the house on the rock.

We’ve been coming here for over two decades and are absolutely enchanted by this beautiful hotel. We are transported back to a bygone era we revel in 🤩 the food is delicious and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

Magnificent living, cute rooms, old lovely feeling in this old, but good-shaped house. Very pleasant contact with personal with all booking procedurs. Spendid service and a very good breakfast buffé.

All in all a very nice stay. Nice atmosphere, very cosy and friendly staff. Only advice: when the room is so small, it is a good idea to place hooks on the wall to be able to hang up clothes, handbag etc.
