Hotel Weshtern Park

Check-in, checkout, wash rooms, interior, exterior view no complaint, Breakfast tiedup with one Archana restaurant too quite appreciated, all foods serving in hot, tasty & yummy mode but washroom is a big mess need to address & underneath our feet, rats playing at main seating area which indicates rodent free measures quite required. Hotel staff seems quite professional in this 3 floor rooms and 4 th dormitory mini halls exists. Being a center of city, tariff per night USD 45+ may be justified from their end but at par with same, renovations required in every area of hospitality.

Spacious Rooms, Taste Breakfast, Better hospitality, Ms. Chitra & staffs are polite and friendly. Very close to the Railway station, Spacious car parking, Clean rooms. Either business trip or personal visit, one of the best choice can be Weshtern Park.

Very spacious car parking area. Spacious rooms. Best hospitality. Excellent buffet spread. Toiletries, kettle provided. Newspapers in the lobby. Bathrooms fully equipped. Had to check out and found another hour will be needed. They promptly gave room keys to stay for an hour. House keeping, room service and reception personnel very cordial.

At present i am in the hotel and typing this info. I have been staying in this hotel for a very long time. But this time I have very bitter experience. I twice complained about the functioning of AC. People attend to it and say outdoor unit has to be switched on and they go away - I believe they will switch it on. But even then, the room is not cool. I feel like I am with my family in a non ac room. We slept without AC. The toilets aren't cleaned properly, and it stinks. When said in the reception they sent a perfume ***!!!! But the toilet condition remains the same. My favourite place of my stay has become marooned, and it needs utmost care and immediate attention. The sorry state of the hotel has to be attended first otherwise it will surely lose customers. Aso, the whole floor [ I am staying on the third floor] stinks of alcohol. To my great shock I could see drunken people loitering on the third floor. Will Western Park become a non-accommodative place for families? Should we think about other places of stay? I believe that the ***agement would take my observation and the comments of others in a positive spirit and set right the issues.

This is one of my favourite hotels in Madurai n have stayed here many times during the past 10 years. Stayed here twice recently.Good things first.They have a big Car park,a Good Restaurant,place for a few drivers to sleep,3 or 4 meeting halls,wash rooms near the lobby,lift,Good AC rooms.Both the rooms n the hotel have all the basic infrastructure. Now coming to some problem areas.I had trouble with my Room door card lock twice n the reception sent up ppl to open with their master key.Definitely needs attention.The Bed linen had some stains n the towels also need replacement as they have aged.The toilet basin needs better maintenance n the water is leaking/dripping after usage.The room n wash room can certainly be maintained better.There is an unpleasant odour in the washroom...either from the drain hole or from the wash basin drain. The Curtains can be washed or changed too.The TV remote cover comes off.Food is okay with some items being good/very good but food in general n especially the breakfast buffet can be improved upon. I dont know if there is shortage of staff but there was no proper response from house keeping n Room service on a couple of occasions.The Reception were very helpful n solved the issues. The Manager Mr.Palani is doing a good job in keeping the hotel running well.Mr.Jayachandran at the reception was very helpful n so too Ms.Manimeghalai at Housekeeping. Good hotel but in need of improvements!
