"We stayed at this hotel in May 2026 and had a wonderful few days! Location - amazing. Few steps into town, such an easy walk and no car needed. Right on the lake so made use of a wonderful terrace with steps into the lake and loungers to be able to take it all in. Rooms - we stayed in a Mountain View room on the top floor and had a lovely view! The room was really big, lovely and bright and very cool which was great. Breakfast was included and was a great selection and an amazing view of the lake from the restaurant. We had plenty of drinks on the terrace & up on our balcony, lovely sun terraces to also make use of for some bonus view points! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and really welcoming, was lovely to chat to them each day. We loved our stay, we will definitely return and already recommended to friends and family. Thank you for a great visit!"

"I booked a single room at Hotel Modena in Malcesine directly from the hotel website several months in advance. Malcesine is the most charming town around Lake Garda, IMO, and since it's tiny and crowded, it pays to book accommodation as long in advance as you can. Besides, there are limited choices for budget hotels around Lake Garda. Anyway, close to my arrival, the ATV bus company stated that there would be no bus service from Garda to Malcesine on the day I was planning to arrive, May 1, because it is a National Day in Italy (it turned out there were buses, after all, but that's another story!). So I contacted the hotel to change my dates, and they promptly acquiesced. I asked for an early checkin, and I was graciously allowed to checkin at 12:30PM. I had also asked for a quiet room on the highest floor, and I was happy to see my room (#311) was on the top floor (there's an elevator). Thanks to Doina's tireless and thorough cleaning, the room was pristine; the bedsheets were the cleanest I've seen in Italy, a brilliant white. Since the weather was cold, the kind and helpful Joshua showed me how to turn the heat on. The only thing I would change is very minor: a handheld shower, instead of the fixed shower head. Breakfast is plentiful, including both sweet and flavory choices, and even some fresh fruit. Always with a smile, Doina is making sure that breakfast fares are replenished, so there's never an unmet need. After checkout, I was allowed to store the luggage for the rest of the day. I cannot praise enough the professionalism, and kindness, of the staff at Hotel Modena in Malcesine."

"Nous étions à Malcesine il y a 4 ans (pré-plague), et nous voulions aller quelque part "un genre de familiarité" pour notre 1ère pandémie de vacances à l'étranger. Nous avons été très heureux de voir ce que nous voulions faire. Ce n'est qu'un grand endroit pour rester. C'est un petit hôtel familial. Nous l'avons trouvé très propre et très amiable. Excellent petit déjeuner (et les jours où nous avons dû partir tôt pour des excursions ou pour voler chez nous, un "déjeuner packé" nous a été offert). L'hôtel est très bien situé pour de nombreux bons restaurants à Malcesine - Mignon sur Via Dosso est notre séjour le plus favori. Merci à Chelsea et à sa mère pour avoir couru un hôtel chaud (!!) amical et accueillant !"
