This was my second visit to the hotel. While the property and rooms are quite good, the service and staff behavior left me highly disappointed—again. Despite informing the hotel in advance about my morning arrival by my HR, I was made to wait until 12 PM for check-in. After a tiring train journey, I arrived hoping for at least a refreshment room or a polite behavior, but instead, I was met with extremely rude behavior from the front office staff. Regardless of policies, there is always a courteous and professional way to communicate with guests. Unfortunately, that was completely lacking. I had to wait in the lobby for over an hour without even being offered a basic courtesy. Eventually, I left the hotel without checking in. I’ve stayed in many star hotels across Mangalore and other cities, and this is the first time I felt like I was being treated as if I was staying for free. The management seriously needs to train their staff in basic hospitality and guest handling. Good rooms alone don't make a hotel worth staying in—respect and service matter just as much
