Ante Porta Das Stadthotel

The room was clean and had a balcony with chairs, though a rainy October was not a good time to enjoy this. We did not tst out the air conditioning My wife pronounced the bed comfortable. Room made every day and the wet bathmat - thanks to a leaky shower door - also replaced every day. Hotel very conveniently placed for the city centre. Breakfast perfectly adequate - if you want more choice then spend 50% extra at the nearby Mercure.

We had an unexpected event and I asked for an early check-in as my husband had to work during the day. They were very helpful and facilitated it completely. Great breakfast.

This is a 'way above average' hotel. Why? The staff is very friendly and flexible, the rooms are clean, the beds are excellent and large, and there is a private parking that's fully surveyed by camera's. On top of that: the beautiful city center of Trier is very close, and if you need basic stuff there are 2 supermarkets, and a bakery close by. We only spent 2 days here but would come back to this hotel. Last but but.nkt least: excellent breakfast. The rooms are accessible by an elevator.

The hotel was very nice. Staff at checkin were so friendly and caring. Room was big, clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and very good. Nice parking lot in back for the car which was very nice. Perfect location too, walking distance to the center.

Really helpful and pleasant staff at reception and made us feel welcome. Room was a good size, really nice modern room and bathroom, everything in good condition with good storage for a few days stay. Shower was good. Bed was one of the new style foam and very comfortable and after the terribly hard bed we had in a hotel the previous night, was very much appreciated. Only had one pillow each and could have done with two, I am sure we could have got extra if we had asked but the staff leave site around 11pm and we were back later than that. We did not have breakfast as they were working on timed slots because of the size of the breakfast room and the only slot left was 7.30-8.30 which was too early for us (so tip, request your breakfast slot when booking the hotel). We knew there was a bakery a couple of doors down which also had a coffee machine, bought these and ate in our room, we had 2 chairs and a table area. The breakfast however looked good and only an extra 9euro. They had their own parking in a secure area for 9 euro but not sure if it would be sufficient for everyone arriving in a car. The hotel is about 5-10 min walk directly to the centre of town and felt quite safe. Trier is a great place to spend a day and evening. We found the hotel very quiet only the sounds of the city! Would stay again.

The location of this hotel was very good. It was not located in the old city centrum - which made it easier to access by car - but just a 400 to 500m walk to the Porta nigra and the old city centrum. Private parking was available at a small daily price. The room was very spatious, very clean. Staff was friendly and helpfull. There was a lot of noise during the night - inside and outside of the hotel. Breakfast was good, a lot of choice. Overall happy with our stay here!

Nice hotel 5 min. walk from downtown with parking in the back. We had a room with small terrace in the back of the hotel- quiet -and a very huge room with big TV and a very good bed- Breakfast is buffet with a lot of choices of cheese, ham, eggs and fresh fruit. Parking is 9 euro which is very cheap. Clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff.
