Residence Inn Concord

E-mailed me the day before my reservation that had been scheduled for a month that due to unforeseen circumstances they couldn’t give us the executive suite that we booked. Unforeseen circumstance: Overbooked the hotel… They offered us a 1 bed suite at a discounted rate but explained traveling with teenage daughter and her boyfriend hence the reason we also ordered a cot. This would not work. They then offered us (2) 1 bedroom suites. Explained that again, this would not work as not leaving 2 teenagers unaccompanied in their own hotel room… All these negotiations occurring while I’m at work and had to leave a meeting to deal with this… Finally after about 2 hours we were notified that we got our original room back. I asked for a discount on the room due to the inconvenience and was told the GM wasn’t there on Friday but they would note the reservation so the GM can review. Got to the hotel to check in and was denied any discount and the reason was because they were fully booked… Got to the “suite” and was immediately disappointed. We stayed here several years ago on the 1st floor for a family wedding and it was beautiful. This “suite” was on the 3rd floor. It was dark and dreary. The sofa pillow had a rip in it. (See photo) The ice maker made 6 pieces of ice and would not make anymore. They never delivered the cot. The TV in the living room did not work. Someone was sent up that was very nice but she could not help. Said she would send up maintenance in the morning. It’s 9:13 am and have not heard anything. Figured out on our own that the circuit kept tripping when the air conditioner and the tv were on at the same time. So, either swelter in the heat or watch tv… There was dust and holes in our headboard of the bedroom.(See Photo) There was a hole in the carpet of the bedroom.(See Photo) The bath tub had pink soap scum ring around the drain and in corner.(See Photo) The wallpaper near the tub is peeling.(See Photo) The shelf above the toilet was all faded as well as the shelves in the vanity area.(See Photos) For what we paid for this room, this was very disappointing. This whole experience was not a pleasant one.

Kind of disappointed in my stay. The employees were friendly and professional but the condition of the hotel was a bit shocking. I’m a titanium BonVoy member so I stay in Marriotts a lot. When I checked in Corey was very friendly and quick to get me in. Since I had meetings the next day at the lottery commission I just went to the room and crashed. It wasn’t until the next morning I really noticed the condition or the room and the amenities. Everything was either dented chipped or scratched. The couch cushions had seen better days. But the biggest issues were in the bathroom. First the bath gel was empty and the conditioner was crusty and plugged up. Then there was the condition of the towels. They had been used so long there were threads hanging off all of them, thin and ripped. I shared my experience with one of the state employees I met with that day and she suggested I write to the owner Steve Duprey who I guess also owns the Courtyard, Fairfield and new Tru. Let’s see how the management responds.

I am usually really happy with the Marriot properties that I have stayed in, but our room was unfortunately not clean. Please see pictures. There were smudges and stains of various kinds on the dressers, floors, closet doors, bathroom doors and walls that were disgusting. One example included. The property manager needs to do a much better job of overseeing the cleaning process.

Very outdated. Room was sp****. Only half roll of toilet with no replacement. Had to go to front desk in early am to get a roll. Stains on wall next to kitchenette. Felt room could have been cleaner. Dented refrigerator. Was not recognized as a Marriott Titanium member, however staff was polite. Not up to Marriott standards! Homeless encampment nearby.

Comfortable and spacious room. Nice kitchen, though didnt use. Convenient location and plenty of parking. Hallways had a funky odor. Also, the elevator was not functioning (not great if you’re on the 4th floor). That maintenance issue needs to be communicated to folks with reservations in advance of arrival (which it wasn’t).

We stayed at the Residence Inn Concord NH from Aug 6 - Aug 10 2023 and our stay was wonder. Firstly I want to say how much we loved the front desk worker but sadly I forgot to catch his name (but I did catch that he had a cat named Tina). He was so kinda, welcoming and helpful during our whole stay. Secondly we absolutely loved the woman who was in charge of the breakfast area. She was so sweet and worked very hard. Not one single thing ran out while we were there. We stayed in a one bedroom king suite with sofa bed. Our room was very comfortable and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Not only is the hotel dated from the outside, the inside leaves nothing to the imagination. Dirt and grime prevail as you walk in. From the beat up driveway and parking, to the outdated sport court, not much shines outside of the Residence Inn Concord. As you step inside, a nice lofty moldy smell welcomes you. It follows you into any room you choose and forces you to rethink your stay. Open the windows and the condensation just drips off of them. This cannot be a healthy stay. So much so, that we checked out immediately after checking in to our "upgraded" room. We cancelled a week long stay and the hotel still kept one night's worth of points as a "no show" fee. Anything to make a dollar. DO NOT stay here, you will not be pleasantly surprised and will be wishing you hadn't. There are better options just down the street and or with another brand. Don't start off your vacation like we did, scrambling to find another hotel at midnight.

Free parking. Free Wi-Fi. Free breakfast. Decent value. Billy at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure that me and wife and baby had a pleasant stay. He’s a great guy and I hope he goes on to become a high level manager. This place is a fair bang for the buck

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VALUABLES IN YOUR ROOM! Had a personal item taken. Brought it up to staff and it “never showed up” for them to return it. No accommodations or remedy was ever offered by the staff, just a meek “sorry” 🤷🏻‍♂️ Breakfast was delicious. Basketballs needed more air. Sheets not changed, beds only made. Would recommend an eye cover to sleep with as the eye on the side I slept on kept getting irritated causing pain when I blinked. Soaps in bathroom never got filled. Kitchen sink disposal not working causing back flow into sink. Heated pool was not actually heated. You’ll need to google how to bypass thermostat as it’s motion sensors do nothing to help regulate temperature during the night (when you’re sleeping and no movement is occurring).
