Hotel Roosevelt Condesa

Good trip until the last day! Tourists beware. They use a language barrier to hold themselves not accountable for anything! Dropped off laundry in the morning to be cleaned. Received at night with a $160 bill! I’m like I didn’t authorize any of those nor was there any signature agreeing to the ludicrous price . They are like no pay no clothes. Thievery and manager never there. Read all the reviews about staff before going. Customer service isn’t a thing at that hotel Sadly

I stayed here for 8 nights after being recommended by a travel book written by an American ex-pat living in Mexico City. The hotel was neat and clean with an adjoining restaurant. The hotel is centrally located in Condesa, and is just yards away from the Alvaro Obregon Metrobus stop on line 1. But there was a terrible noise problem from fellow guests on 3 nights. I was in the back in room 217. The noise was so bad one night that management moved me to a new room at 4:30 am. I was told the next day that management couldn't get the offending parties to shut up . I would not stay at this hotel again.

I was visiting family that lives two blocks from hotel. Obviously, this hotel was a tremendously convenient place to stay. But, it's located in a nice area, Condesa/Roma Norte, and a 10'-15' walk from the the Metro and a 2' from the Metrobus. Very walkable and safe area. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops, especially on Avenida Amsterdam, a block away. The building is very attractive, an Art Deco building, from 1930s. It looks like the interior underwent a renovation 10-15 years ago. For me, the nicest part of the stay was the building. Really nice. The room was big and clean, with a modern bathroom. The bed was comfortable, with a firm mattress. The Wi-fi was good. The shower was excellent. Every day, the hotel provided a new bottle of water. Not bad. I didn't interact much with the staff, but they were courteous and friendly during the very few interactions.

The location is exceptional, close to so many restaurants, eateries, parks, transportation. Also hotel is very clean. As minuses - breakfast is poor, don't pay for it, eat out. Internet is very poor, mostly doesn't work in the room.

If I could give this place 2.5 stars I would. I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a group tour. I arrived early in the morning and they were able to store my luggage, and they let me check in a couple of hours earlier than the standard time when a room was available. The reception staff didn't always speak good English. The hotel is located in the Condesa area of Mexico City, which is quite a high end residential area with lots of restaurants and bars mostly frequented by locals. I was told by a local that the area is actually a little more expensive than Centro Historico (when you discount the tourist traps). There isn't really a metro station near by, it's possible to get to the centre by a couple of buses and this takes around 30 minutes. My room was ok and clean, what I would expect from a 3 star tourist hotel. It had a double bed which was a little firm, and the pillows were a bit hard and lumpy. The bathroom was also very clean, no bath but a large shower. The water temperature was a bit variable at times. I was on the 3rd floor which was accessible by both lift and stairs. Each floor isn't very large so no room is that far away from the lift. The hotel is located on a busy main road, and the rooms that overlook this road are extremely noisy at night so earplugs are a must. If possible try to get a room facing away from the road. My room was made up every day to a good standard. We had breakfast at this hotel twice. It was not buffet style and they brought plates of either scrambled eggs, pancakes, or corn chips with a spicy tomato sauce and cheese. There was also coffee and orange juice available. The whole thing was a bit disorganised, a buffet style thing would have been better. On the second day we were there the chef didn't even turn up so we had to go out somewhere else for breakfast. Overall the stay was ok, but this was a substitute hotel as the original ones had cancelled due to the Day of the Dead and the Grand Prix being held at Mexico City at the same time (so the fact that this was available when most other places were booked up probably says a lot). As a tourist I would probably stay in Centro Historico next time.

Bien ubicado, cerca de teatros, cafés y otros entretenimientos. A media cuadra de estación del metrobús Álvaro Obregón. Habitaciones limpias y cómodas.

La ubicación es muy buena pero tanto staff como la gente que se queda en este hotel hacen mucho ruido de tal forma que no podes dormir. Nosotros nos quedamos 5 noches y nos trasladamos a otro hotel! El muchacho que limpia, Edgar, grita hablando a las 3 de la mañana! El desayuno no es suficiente y poco! No es recomendable
