The White Hart

A surprising find! Working in the area and other places were booked, so this was a random selection. Delightful pub with an annex with rooms that are well appointed. Coffee maker, fridge, ironing board and nice toiletries which included cotton buds and cotton pads. Actually it’s better appointed that the 4 star Mal in Oxford! Lovely quiet location and plenty of parking. Plenty of veggie choices for breakfast. I had smashed avocado on toast and I’m sure it was nearly a whole avocado! Oat milk is also available. I also had supper in the pub and the starters were generous. We had the bloomer sharing board with delicious bread, olives and sun dried tomatoes. We’d also ordered the adame beans which was a large portion. I had the vegan Thai curry which was very tasty. Apart from the location, details and food, the team at the White Hart are fantastic. I was shown into the room by one of staff who was also our waitress , very helpful and super professional. At breakfast the next morning I mentioned I had ordered a taxi and so breakfast was delivered promptly. The team obviously communicate so the owner asked if I’d like my supper bill, to avoid any waiting time later. Even when waiting for the taxi I was even offered another cup of tea. This level of care and communication shows the pride that the staff have in the White Hart. An amazing find that I’d recommend.

Booked a table for two in "The Garden Room" as that was all that was available. It should be called "The Corridor" as it consists of a row of tables with harsh lighting, no heat and absolutely no atmosphere! The food was no better, rib of beef was mostly fat and gristle and the mash had been microwaved within an inch of it's life. The seasonal vegetables had definitely been poured out of a bag from the freezer. Waiting staff obviously forget about you as had to go to the bar to get their attention so we could pay and leave.

Lovely pub /hotel with friendly locals and very helpful and attentive staff. Food menu is excellent and varied with something for everyone. I had the chicken and ham pie and the portion was large and delicious. The room we had was average with a soft and quite uncomfortable mattress and a shower that was not the best. Also the floor creaked a lot when the people above us walked around so get a top floor room if you can. Overall I’d recommend this place.

Had a couple of nights stay recently- Couldn't fault any of it! Friendly attentive staff and lovely room with en-suite. Breakfast included was excellent and restaurant menu had plenty of choices. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice independent hotel in a quiet village location.

The staff at The White Hart were very attentive and welcoming. The room that my partner and I stayed in was very spacious and had all of the necessary items that we needed to make our stay comfortable, including a lovely coffee machine! We stayed for 2 nights and had breakfast at the restaurant twice. It had a great selection on the menu and a range of drinks to choose from. We also had dinner at the restaurant, which was delicious! The hotel is a great location for visiting Silverstone, and offers a very comfortable getaway!

Dropped in with friends for a lunchtime meal without pre-booking. Had a super meal, with sharing appetisers, main meals and desserts. All cooked and presented well. Good sized proportions. Good atmosphere and would recommend 100%.

Excellent accommodation, plenty of room, spacious bathroom, plenty of towels, attention to detail such as cotton buds and makeup removal pads. Coffee machine with plenty of choices of coffee to choose from, tea making facilities too. Tv, hairdryer, iron, large wardrobe, TV. Pub/restaurant opposite hotel rooms, also local well stocked village shop, all within the court yard. Breakfast freshly cooked to order, plenty of choice, evening meal stunning.

We booked to stay one night here with Giles and his team for a siblings get-together. This place is simply great in every way. We descended from The Wirral, Yorkshire, Norfolk and Dorset and chose here because it is about 2 hours for each of us. The pub is a very traditional feel with open fires and a very good buzzy atmosphere of very friendly locals and their dogs. We had a great afternoon chatting and quenching our thirst! We gathered again for dinner which was superb. Big portions, very well cooked and presented, and all of us thought it was excellent and good value. A very short wall over the car park to our rooms which were all en-suite and bigger than the norm. After a good nights sleep we met for a very good breakfast...All seven of us chose different things (sorry to the kitchen!) and they were all very good. You can tell from this review that we would highly recommend The White Hart for this sort of gathering. Unless we brave somewhere else next time we will definitely be back here and suggest you go as well.

Stayed for one night as we travelled across country and were very happy with our stay. The room was clean and functional, although the mattress was a bit soft. We ate in the pub in the evening and it had a great atmosphere with all of the locals in for a Friday night beer or two. The food was well priced and very tasty, with a reasonable menu and a couple of specials. Without a doubt the best thing was the breakfast, we opted for eggs benedict which was absolutely delicious. The croissants were freshly cooked and smelled amazing but sadly we didn't have room to eat any more!
