Dimora Delle Muse

This was our second stay at Dimora delle Muse, our first was in the fall of 2021. We were only able to stay here for two nights because Sarah and Michele are the best hosts and the property is super popular! We stayed at a couple other Agriturismos in Tuscany which were nice, but rustic. Enjoying the modern luxury in this romantic small hamlet is unparalleled and everything at this property is clean, new, and comfortable! Book early, this is a rare find!

Perfection. The room, spacious, impeccably decorated, charming details, amazing shower, bidet in bathroom, fridge, comfy bedding, cleaned every day, lovely windows, high, wood beamed ceilings. The breakfast, better than a Michelin starred restaurant. You will wake to the smells of Sara baking. The hospitality, Sara & Michele, you will want to take them home with you. Did I mention 2 of the best restaurants in Tuscany are a few feet away from B & B. You must stay here. We will be back. Steve & Beatriz.

This was so incredible. Beautifully done building, totally awesome owners Michele and Sara, no detail is left undone. Breakfast was Sara prepared dainty beautiful pastries. Michele hooked us up with dinner and wine tour reservations. I was totally wowed. We will definitely return!

Sara and Michele redefine the art of “welcoming”. We arrived at the Dimora delle Muse without recommendations or high expectations. And we left there with the certainty that we had the best reception that could exist! No wonder one of their mottos is “hospitality”. In this, they are absolute masters. If you go to the Montalcino area, don't think twice and look for them. We originally set out to the area around Dimora Delle Muse to visti Banfi Winery. We were lucky enough to get squeezed in because I work in the wine industry. Anyway, searching for a hotel led to this wonderful hidden gem. We booked it immediately on sight. Even before we arrived Michele and Sara provided us with pertinent information for our trip. When we arrived this very dynamic Husband and Wife combo were there to assist our every needs. From bringing up our bags, to suggesting things to do and even setting a reservation up at one of the local restaurants; which was beyond delicious. The rooms are all magnificent, we stayed with another couple and could not have been happier with the quality, amenities, as well as the cleanliness. Even at the larger more costly hotels there are always a few details missed in cleanliness, I could not find one at Dimora Delle Musse! No need to even try looking. Spotless, homey, and tranquil. The best part is the next morning comes and you experience a wonderful breakfast from Sara, who always has the most welcoming smile on her face! I have nothing bad to say about Dimora Delle Muse. In fact, if you’re still reading and have not booked yet I suggest you do so! Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. With the beauty of the bed and breakfast as well as the hospitality of the family, and the wonderful landscape and tranquility around you, there is no need to go anywhere else! When we were there, we always felt the focus was on us, even as we were leaving Michele and Sara helped us with our luggage and saw us off! On a side note although I’m not fluent in Italian (yet) they made me feel comfortable when I did try to speak it. (Don’t worry they speak great English) I just want to learn Italian because it’s in my lineage. Thank you for the comfort! To Michele and Sara, I know I’ve said it before, but grazie mille a voi! Rather than stay in Montalcino we chose Sant Angelo in Colle 15 minutes away. What a wonderful choice. A small, charming village with a wonderful small hotel. Parking is in a small lot just down the hill however you can bring the car to the door to load and unload suitcases. Our room was perfect, beautifully designed, thoughtful touches, and the owners pay attention to the details! From arrival to departure our stay was perfect for our 3 nights. The bed was comfortable, we slept well and the hotel is so very quiet. Linens are of quality, there is a bar fridge, amenities and the A/C and wi fi work very well. Michaela and Sara take time to welcome you to their special property and provide lots of information and tips for your stay. There are two fabulous restaurants right in the village. In addition to the warm hospitality the breakfast is a highlight. Sara bakes the breads, cakes and cookies. Everything is thoughtfully made and executed. Loved our stay and can't say enough good things about the property. Would definitely return.

This B&B is so lovely snd shows such care from Michele and Sara. It is a small inn in the village Sant’Angelo which is a small hilltop town. The room, the public spaces and lovely breakfast in the morning were all amazing. If we make our way to Italy again I hope to find my way back here.

The reviews are all accurate. Michele and Sara own and operate this beautiful Hotel/Inn and it is a love for them to do so. They care so deeply about all of the details and ensure that their guests have a wonderful stay. Michele was invaluable in helping us figure out where to go and what to see. He made us dinner reservations and went above and beyond to check in with us during the days we were on adventures to make sure we had all of the necessary information and he filled in anytime there was a question. Sarah is lovely and her baking and cooking are every bit as good as everyone's reviews say that they are. We are here three nights from Boston and are leaving today. The rooms are beautiful, the beds comfortable, and they've done a fabulous job updating what was surely a big renovation project with modern and tasteful furniture, appliances, and textiles. I was particularly impressed with the cute SMEG refrigerator in the room as a SMEG fan myself. There are two very cute restaurants within 2 minutes walking of the hotel and each was good but of the two we preferred Il Pozzo. It is a very tranquil and private setting here and I highly recommend it. Our plan was to do a portion of Tuscany but we preferred to not stay in one of the more touristy and popular towns, instead choosing this hotel and hence Montalcino. It was our preference to spend more time in less-traveled towns (fewer tourists) but you could easily stay here to do the popular ones like Siena, Chianti, San Gimignano, etc. We had three nights and saw San Gimignano on our way here from Florence. We spent a day in San Gimignano, a day wine tasting and touring Mantalcino, a day seeing Montepulciano/Pienza/Bagno Vignoni, and we will depart today for the Riviera with a stop in Volterra en route to visit a favorite shoe store. Don't miss this magical place and its beautiful owners.

Dimora delle Muse is a beautifully decorated inn in a quaint Tuscany town. The rooms are well-decorated with amenities and a plus, beautiful paintings to view every day. Parking our car at the villa was not an issue even with the small streets. Michele, who was a hotel concierge before, was the most responsive in replying to our many emails in planning our Italy visit. He suggested things to see, cities and wineries to visit, and excellent regional dinner recommendations. Michele scheduled our appointments and dinner reservations. This helped us very much as it is sometimes difficult to contact businesses from the US. Excellent restaurants that they suggested were short walks from the villa. His suggestions made our day trips much easier to plan. Michele always texted us the Google map location with links to where we were visiting. The inn costs are extremely reasonable and even more so that morning breakfast is included. Sarah is a wonderful baker and talented chef. Having breakfast in the cozy courtyard was a highlight to start the morning. Coming back every afternoon to relax in the beautiful courtyard, drink wine, and converse with the owners was the perfect way to wind down after a busy day. Sarah and Michele were the most gracious and sincere hosts we have experienced in our travels overseas and probably back in the US. Our stay at Della delle Muse and visit to the Tuscany region were the highlight of our trip to Italy. If you want to relax and enjoy Tuscany stay here. The high ratings are well deserved. It will be a stay you will remember.
