It was a rather disheartening experience to say the least. This Motel was once the cream of Moree, sadly and due to an obvious lack of maintenance, the outward appearances, defy the reality. We stayed over four nights and found the room to be clean, but barely "three star" level and most certainly NOT four!(see photos). A tiled Ridge in the middle of the floor was a very real trip hazzard, the benches were falling apart, the ensemble double bed was very uncomfortable and really should have been replaced 20 years ago! Over four days, housekeeping was only available ONCE! We even had to ask for fresh towels and toilet rolls... The only redeeming aspects of this outdated and very average accommodation, is a great hot shower and the "five star" "Explorers Restaurant". The food and a**osphere is classy and the food outstanding! Do yourself a favour, until the Motel is refurbished, stay elsewhere, but definitely have dinner at Explorers Restaurant...

Looks are deceiving. From outside looks ok. The room was not clean, carpet was disgusting A tiled area on a different level is a trip hazard. A number of missing tiles too Doors and cupboards literally look like they falling apart with the plywood lifting Water pressure in the shower is very poor The double bed mattress should have been replaced about 20 years ago We arrived mid-afternoon on a day that was 42 degrees, & air conditioning hadn’t been turned on :( We stayed 2 nights & no sign of housekeeping, no tidy up, no towels.

My partner and I went out for a date night here and ended up leaving starving. $14 for Bruschetta that was in fact soggy bread, melted grated cheese, dried herbs sprinkled on top and a few pieces of roughly diced old tomato that was mainly just the skin. This was inedible and in no way resembled Bruschetta in any way. Next we got our mains, it was average at best, the pork wellington was very dry, our mashed potato had large hard lumps in it. My partners Ship to Shore meal was missing the Calamari and Scallops off it and only had 2 prawns in total. The steak looked like it had been cooked in water and then microwaved. The best thing of the night was the can of coke. We had told an employee of this when we were leaving and she did not seem to care at all. We were regular diners here until this experience. There must be new management as it was such a different experience. We will not be returning. Save your money and eat elsewhere. I wish I took photos!

Hosts were awesome, great to have a chat. The restaurant was the best thing about his place. I got a 600gr scotch fillet and it was perfect. The room was a little run down. There were dead cockroach’s laying around. Unfortunately for me there was a car club staying at the same time and the noise was quite loud. You could hear a mouse sneeze outside your door. I wouldn’t rate the water pressure in the shower. The bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve had in a while.

We were offered a Deluxe Queen Room for the night of the 11th May. What a joke. It was absolutely anything but a deluxe. Was well below expected standard. There was dust on the bedside table lamp bases, coffee cup rings on both bedside tables. The window sill in the bathroom was greasy. The edges on the bath mat were coming away from the mat and the bath towels were stained and well worn. On the main wall next to the TV there were 4 large screw holes left from removing something from the wall. Very ugly look.

We arrived after 7pm with no booking due to a less than satisfactory accommodation booking at another place in town. The lovely lady on reception whom was quite busy with other motel guests was very helpful. We were shown a family room where we stayed for 4 nights and then a member of our party stayed on an additional 5 nights. Nothing was too much trouble for Carol and David. The motel is a getting a little old but everything is well maintained, clean and comfortable, The housekeeping staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant had very comfy chairs and the food was lovely. The pool is large and very inviting indeed. I'll definitely be staying here on my next trip.
