What can I say? This is a magical place and the hospitality of the family and team was exceptional. From the beginning of us we received help to coordinate booking boat tickets as this can be daunting for those of us who speak elementary Mandarin! They also kept in constant contact with us through out and did som any kind things to make our stay special. This is not a place that many foreigners go to in China but it is without a doubt a hidden gem and would highly recommend! We had a beautiful 6 days on the island and the stay here made everything so special. This island is perfect for those who enjoy local hospitality, seafood and lots of beautiful places to walk. Our room was spotless, the amenities were amazing and our view of the harbour was beautiful. The bed is also super comfortable which makes for a relaxing night’s sleep after a day of exploring the islands. We were so happy here we will definitely be returning as it felt so much like exploring a small working costal town in Cornwall, England. ❤️

✨ A hidden gem in Taizhou: Fuchen Yin 府城隐 What makes this hotel truly special is its incredible story — a beautiful transformation from an old 财神庙 (temple of the God of Wealth, so yes… extra good fortune vibes 😉) and a historic printing factory into a serene luxury retreat. Tucked away in a quiet residential alley and accessible by buggy, the hotel feels like a secret escape from the busy world. The moment you step inside, you feel a sense of calm. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with generous spaces to unwind, relax, and simply enjoy the moment. My favourite corners? The library, where I spent time getting lost among the books, and the piano area, where I happily played a few tunes. These little details made the stay feel more like a home away from home rather than just a hotel. The breakfast was an absolute highlight — a celebration of Taizhou’s local flavours. I loved discovering so many regional specialties: 🍵 青草糊 — a refreshing grass jelly dessert with a wonderful touch of peppermint that made it even more refreshing 🍜 姜汤面 and 芋头面 — comforting local noodle dishes 🍰 三色糕 🍚 乌饭麻糍 (with red bean filling) 🥟 扁食 …and so many more delicious local treats that I wish I had a bigger stomach! They even helped me buy the famous 海苔饼 — the whole reason I came to Taizhou — and it arrived piping hot. Truly the kind of thoughtful service that makes a trip memorable. The hotel facilities are exceptional. From the beautifully designed spaces to the thoughtful amenities, everything has been carefully considered. The bed deserves a special mention — probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. They also provide turndown service, luxurious toiletries, and a complimentary minibar (which, by the way, included local rice wine 🍶 — just saying 😉). A huge thank you to every member of the Fuchen Yin team for making my stay so warm and memorable. The combination of history, design, local culture, incredible food, and heartfelt hospitality makes this one of the most unique stays I’ve experienced. Definitely a place I would love to return to. 🤍

How do I even put this amazing trip into words? I’m an exchange student studying Chinese in Hangzhou, and I was totally hooked after seeing photos of Shenxianju’s breathtaking scenery online. I searched a lot of hotels and homestays near Shenxianju, but here’s the thing—most hotel staff couldn’t speak English. That’s when I found this homestay! The front desk team was so friendly, answered all my questions in English, and even took my special requests super seriously. Once I got there, I was blown away: the place was quiet and peaceful, and the room was spotless. Every staff member was warm and welcoming—whatever I needed, they had my back right away. The front desk attendants were always there when I called. At night, I got to stare up at a sky full of stars and really feel nature’s magic.oh,and their food? Really Delicious! And it’s so close to Shenxianju Scenic Area—only a 15-minute taxi ride! If you’re looking for a great homestay experience like I was, this one comes with my highest recommendation!

Là, il y a une belle-fille. La beauté du peuple est qu'elle a mis ”la distance” dans le feu de fumée. La vue de la fenêtre est poussée, les rêves sont ennuyeux. Chaque fenêtre ici est une peinture qui respirera. Le matin, les oiseaux se réveillent et la nuit, avec les étoiles dans le rêve, et même la douleur est devenue une sorte de plaisir. Il y a une température qui se cache entre les eaux de montagne, mais qui est facile à transporter; loin de la ville, mais qui conserve le sentiment de la vie. Le temps semble vraiment ralentir ici. Un pas en un paysage, il est possible d'intégrer des miroirs partout. Qu'il s'agisse d'un vieux arbre, d'un mur ou d'un soleil de la terrasse, le film est grand, esthétique en ligne, surprenant. Le design a une âme et les détails sont accueillis chauds. De la position des meubles, de la température de la lumière, à un livre lisible, à un stylo à la main, vous pouvez sentir le cœur et le goût de la personne principale. Ce n'est pas le millennium de l'hôtel, mais la maison est unique. Sans froid standardisé, avec des produits de chauffage personnalisés, des lits chauds et des peaux douces, des produits de lave-vaisselle ont un sentiment de qualité, même les coupes de pommes de terre sont choisies pour le bien. La nouvelle et la vieille fusion, un sentiment d'histoire. Pas trop de troubles, mais un verre de bienvenue, une carte de mains et un chat honnête, quand vous avez besoin, sont tous ”précisés”. L'expérience sur le terrain permet de rendre le voyage plus racine.

I had a very great experience in this hotel and I strongly recommend it. The hotel is simple, but very cozy and comfortable. You can clearly feel it is a family hotel, with care and attention in every detail. The owners and staff are excellent. They are very kind, very friendly, and always ready to help. They make you feel welcome and relaxed from the first moment. This was the best part of my stay. The environment is quiet and nice, perfect if you want to relax and enjoy a calm place. It is much better than big and crowded hotels. Only one small point: the room cleaning can be improved a little. It was not a big problem for us, but if they improve this, the hotel can be perfect. Overall, it was an excellent stay. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel.

C'est une bijoux cachée dans une position privilégiée près du mur de Linhai. C'est un hutong converti vers une rue latérale et est bien signé. La réceptrice n'a pas parlé anglais mais nous avons communiqué par une application et elle a été si utile. La chambre était spacieuse avec des feuilles de satin. La salle de bain était propre et avait de l'eau chaude instantanément pour la douche. Je resterais ici encore. Toutes les chambres sont également face à un beau jardin où vous pouvez vous asseoir et refroidir.

L'hôtel est magnifique dans le bâtiment et dans la localisation. L'épicerie chaude, une belle piscine de taille équipée de jouets et de floaters pour enfants. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux et varié. Les chambres sont grandes et propres. Le buffet de dîner aa a fermé en raison de la saison basse, mais le restaurant a la carte a été un grand hit avec toute la famille. Le service est très bon, les personnes sont attentives et s'efforcent de faire de vous un séjour confortable,.une expérience agréable. La seule chose que je ferais la prochaine fois est de demander une chambre près du lobby, . particulièrement si vous voyagez avec les grands-parents, car certaines chambres peuvent être une promenade à tous les points de service.

The hotel is located right across the street from the 5AAAAA tourist location Guoqing Temple. It follows the flow of the environment and has a very Zen theme and feel. The room is relaxing and it would be good if the toilet has an option for brighter lights. The water pressure is good with a consistent hot shower We checked in late in the evening and it was actually quite chilly when we checked in. So it was a very pleasant surprise for the hotel to have 2 flasks of the Chinese porridge (slightly sweet) warm and waiting. The morning complimentary breakfast was great with a good spread; some western type of breakfast and some chinese breakfast and ample choice for vegetarians. We went on a complimentary tour of Guoqing Si guided by a staff of the hotel who provided clear explanation of the temple. If the hotel has a big hall that can be rented for group events / gatherings that would be superb. All in we had a great experience

這家名宿挺好的，就是開上去有點高。但是環境還可以,最加分的就是有孩子可以玩的泳池。哦，對了，他們家的早飯煎餅弄的很好吃,值得推薦。老闆他們也挺好説話的,其中一間房還幫我升級了海景房，很滿意,想要來旅遊的不用猶豫可以訂這家。
