FabHotel Spring Inn - Nr Borivali Station

Six of us stayed in Kandivali for a week occupying three rooms so can provide honest, detailed feedback. Positives: Rooms had a bed, shower, TV and wonderful photographs of its rooms online. Simran and Harish, the two receptionists were always polite, charming and helpful. They were courteous and calm at all times. Rooms are cheap. You get what you pay for. We had to stay in Kandivali to complete our banking otherwise would never have chosen this hotel. All the young male workers who clean and service the rooms are polite and respectful. No complaints at all about their conduct and manners. They live on site but I wonder if they ever go out of the hotel. Negatives: when we arrived an hour early, our rooms were not ready and were told to wait ten minutes. This waiting “ten minutes” continued for several hours before we could occupy them. Hotel is run down and need of repair. Lots of wobbly hand rails, broken tiles, fixtures and fittings. They need a long plastic doormat at the entrance to prevent accidents and slipping during heavy monsoon rains. I have suggested it but am confident nothing will happen. Towels and sheets are washed but very old and stained. Minimal toiletries, toilet paper provided if requested. Mr Pintu Yadav, the manager was very rude to me from the start. His tone is uncultured, patronising and condescending. I asked for a kettle and he told me to go to the shop and buy one! Apparently, they are only available in deluxe rooms. When I asked to see such a room, there was no difference at all. He reluctantly gave me a kettle after I made a fuss. He later proceeded to talk about me loudly to his staff saying that I’ve come down ten times already demanding things. I calmly went down and said, “I will come down eleven times or more if I wish” and not to talk about me so loudly. He is clearly an unhappy ***. He also appears to bully his staff. This continued for several days. However, after day 4, he hardly spoke which was an improvement. The old *** at reception (maybe Satish?) was a friendly opportunist. I asked for a little fresh milk for one cup of tea. He provided it for R/s.40. I later asked if I could exchange old R/s 2000 notes. He said it was no problem and asked how many I had. I showed him twenty such notes. He took them, changed a few then said he would bring the rest later to my room. I politely declined. Later, he said that he could change them all at a discount. He said banks will charge me R/s 200 per note but he could do it for Rs100. How enterprising! I managed to change all my notes at the banks for free. He repeatedly asked if I’d written my hotel review. He said I would only complain online but I assured him that I would only tell the truth. The bar downstairs means that there is loud music every night until 1am. One morning, I heard the tv from the next room blaring loudly at 3am. I knocked on the door only to hear more unwelcome sounds. I soon realised that this hotel welcomes guests by the

Lovely place for couples stay good staff good rooms budget hotel. Very accessible to railway station and highway, nearby to goregaon exhibition centre, malls theaters, discos and nearby domestic airport. Perfect place for business stay and friends.
