Rosewood Munich

Good new hotel but the restaurant is still new and lacking the standards of a 5 star hotel.

Our stay at the Rosewood Munich in April for three nights was one for the playbooks with every aspect perfection at its highest. Welcoming greetings begin at curbside with a smile followed by attentive assistance to check-in and beyond. The service is unparalleled and every staff member aims to make your experience at the hotel and in Munich memorable. They succeed exceedingly and unequivocally! Our suite defies description but I will try to do it justice. Suite 123 is on the first floor overlooking the city. On two levels. our suite was comparable to a move-in-ready, spacious, luxurious apartment outfitted with every convenience such as a wine/beverage/Nespresso bar replete with a fully stocked refrigerator. The marble bathroom took my breath away with the drawer filled with every item you might have forgotten, soft towels with extras, double sinks, free-standing soaking bath tub, and separate large walk-in shower as well as a separate room for the toilet. The bathroom has a huge floor to ceiling window with a remote controlled curtain. With its high ceilings, the bathroom like the rest of the suite, is bright and airy. There were two closets with a cushioned built-in in between and plenty of space for two luggage racks and our two bulky suitcases. The closets had plenty of hangars; soft robes and attractive, comfortable, sturdy slippers. The living area also had a huge floor to ceiling window with a remote controlled curtain. The decor was contemporary, understated elegance - truly beautifully styled but not overdone. I could find no fault especially after my husband and I figured out the controls. I must admit that I am technologically challenged. Our suite had many special features - too many to enumerate! The Rosewood Team is a team in every way; choreographed to ensure that each guest has an unforgettable stay. The welcome wine and delicious sweets were much appreciated and enjoyed. A special shout-out to the Check-in team, team members and to the Concierges who made sure that our stay in Munich was Magnificent, Marvelous and Magical.

The location is amazing and very central.That is the best and the only positive thing about the hotel.Reserving it I asked for a very quiet room and a receptionist assured me I have got it.During the night I discovered that my room was facing the car park (like 40 meters away) with all the noises possible and impossible.Then after I had to take a slipping pill to get to sleep ,I was woken up before 6am with the delivery noises and rubbish clearance right below my room.The staff is trying to be helpful but they (90%) nor speak nor understand English! The concierge is giving you directions round the hotel and is mistaken where left and right is.The level of unprofessionalism of the people working there is ridiculous.The hotel logistics is absurd as its full of stairs and strange passages.Not wheelchair or people with injuries friendly.The cherry on top of the cake was that I bought some articles from them which appeared to be wrong sizes when I got home and the management did not care nor getting back to me nor sending apologies.

The ambience, the location, the design, and the decor are beautiful. Every staff member was so professional, polite, and friendly, which made us feel very special and welcomed. The breakfast served was fresh, delicious, and hot. Very very tasty. Also,a very special thank you for the surprise birthday cake, which added a beautiful touch to a special day and occasion. Our recent stay at the hotel featured two Deluxe Suites, each over 60 square meters and uniquely laid out with separate living rooms, bedrooms, and dressing areas. The rooms were tastefully decorated with fine details and a well-stocked, chargeable minibar. Notable amenities included custom coffee machines with milk foamer (rare find at hotels) and high-quality Marshall Kilburn sound systems. The suites only had one toilet, but the bathroom towels were plush and luxurious. Additionally, the light and curtain controls scattered around the room and were inconvenient to operate. The hotel's overall service was exceptional, particularly at the front desk and restaurant, with attentive staff and a welcoming atmosphere. However, housekeeping was inconsistent, often overlooking details like cleaning used cups and utensils during turndown service. Also, despite requesting room cleaning via WhatsApp, we returned in the evening to find that one of the suite was not serviced. The initial response from the staff was that the room had already been cleaned at 10 am, suggesting potential operational immaturity due to the hotel’s newness. Additionally, there were oversights in room service, such as occasionally forgetting to replace items like cups and towels. The dining experience was excellent, with all meals, especially dinner. Breakfast was also delightful, despite limited options. Situated in the heart of the old town, the hotel's location was perfect, within walking distance of major attractions and luxury shopping streets. In summary, the Munich hotel was impressive in most aspects, making it a top choice for travelers.

Just returned from an absolutely unforgettable weekend at Rosewood Munich. Everything at the hotel was beyond our expectations. The room was so beautifully appointed. Sheets, toiletries, towels, coffee maker, hair dryer (Dyson!!)—all 5 star. I really enjoyed all of the tasteful room decor, with special note of the beautiful bar cart. The bathroom was really stunning. We travel a lot and this hotel experience was by far top tier. The amazing bar with the jazz band, the beautiful restaurant, gorgeous lobby, cozy fireplace downstairs…hard to find a fault anywhere. The location could not be better, right in the heart of it all. Would highly recommend and looking forward to a return trip!

We had the pleasure of meeting friends at the Rosewood Munich in December. We stayed 3 nights and it was absolutely fabulous. The hotel is gorgeous and has an aura of calm in the colors and decor. Our room was perfect and amnesties in the room were superior. Restaurant and lounge were excellent too. The staff too, was warm friendly and aimed to please. The location is perfect and we could walk all over the lovely city of Munich! Highly recommend staying at the Rosewood Munich!!
