Factory Hotel

Hotel ist an old converted factory. Hotel itself isn't too bad but the area is so noisy it is unbearable. There is a dancing school next door playing the same song over and over again (German Schlager Music), at mind blowing levels. This is pure psycho terror. Wouldn't stay there again if you'd pay me.

We enjoyed our two days stay in this modern hotel with its industrial vibe. It’s a converted brewery and we really liked the décor of this unique place. Our room was spacious with flat screen TV, comfortable bed, WI-FI, air con and a balcony. The reception and bar staff were friendly and efficient. We used the underground parking which is not free. Great location next to a lot of restaurants close by. We walked to the old town and city palace which is about 4kms. Would recommend this hotel.

We booked this hotel because we wanted to go to the Christmas Market in Münster, but we were actually too late in booking. This hotel is reasonably priced. It is a beautiful industrial hotel, with a unique hall. Between the hotel itself and the rooms is an open and colored space, which can be quite cold in winter. This does make the hotel unique in my opinion. The rooms were of high quality and there were nice personalized items in there. The shower was large and there was a rain shower. I really liked this hotel partly for these reasons. The breakfast was extensive, and the restaurant is also very large. There is room enough for everyone. There were also typical German things available. The people who work here are very friendly. Parking is paid, but also unclear. I didn't understand much about this myself, but it worked out fine. In fact, you pay the ticket for parking at the door of the adjacent supermarket. You can also park inside underground if you wish. I don't know how this is in the price of parking, or if it is the same. Highly recommended.

We were on vacation and my husband said that we were staying in a hotel that was an old factory. I did not know what to expect but I told myself to manage my expectations. I was surprised when we arrived. The place kept the facade of the factory. The interiors was a mixture of the old and the new. I appreciated that the design of the place tried to honor it's original purpose by integrating industrial designs from the stairs to the chandeliers but making sure that the rooms were equipped with modern amenities. We stayed in the hotel one evening only and this would be a great place to stay if you need a spacious room, a parking space, a modern bedroom and bathroom and near the town center.

The place takes its name from being housed in part in a converted factory building; the designers made that a feature, deliberately leaving the building looking somewhat ‘unfinished’ (“shabby chic”) and the new parts are designed in “industrial style” (eg leaving the concrete structure and walls visible). While it is clear where the Germania campus is, it is less clear that the hotel is on the campus, or where it is once on the campus – there no signage on the main street, and no signage on the campus. Their website points you to the right address to turn off the main road (Grevener Str. 91), though (note this is not the formal postal address). Underground car parking is available in the building (direct lift access to the reception and the rooms); costs a bit more than 10 € per night. Alternatively, you can park in the public parking above ground, which costs about 1 € less. When you do reach the building, the reception is friendly and efficient. About half the rooms face a courtyard, one quarter a parking lot, and the rest the main street and the delivery and outdoor seating area; I only got one facing the street (noisy), but would assume the ones facing the courtyard are quieter (asking for one during the reservation did not get me one, though…). The rooms are generously sized, and feature a balcony and a little desk; however, there is no fridge and no wardrobe – apparently the hotel is not expecting guests to stay longer… The beds are comfortable (if a bit hard), with two pillows provided. Unfortunately, the curtains for darkening the windows are translucent, so the room cannot be darkened. The WiFi was good; there is no specific 24-h-socket for charging when you are out of the room. I did not try the breakfast. For dinner I visited the pasta restaurant, with outdoor seating; the quality was ok, but nothing to write home about. Overall I found the hotel to be somewhat overpriced – you can find better for the same money, or the same quality for less money.

Wir waren über eine Nacht im Factory Hotel und sind sehr zufrieden mit der minimalistischen Einrichtung. Man hat alles was man brauch. Von bequemen Betten über eine gepflegtes aber durchaus benutztes Bad (trotzdem vollkommen zufrieden) und sehr nettes Personal. Vom Hotel aus sind es ca. 20Min. In die Stadt durch den Park und vor Ort am Hotel hat man einige Möglichkeiten essen zu gehen, ob Cafe oder Restaurant. Das i Gelatti ist empfehlenswert ;)

Moderne en ruime hotelkamer in vleugels aangebouwd tegen een mooi historisch pand aan de rand van de binnenstad van Munster. De voormalige brouwerij is omgetoverd tot een mooi hotel met ruime receptie, dito bar en (tapas) restaurant. Gelegen aan een leuk horeca plein waar tijdens ons bezoek een heuse ijsbaan was aangelegd.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit großen, moderne Zimmern. Netter Service, sowohl beim Check-In/Out als auch in der Hotelbar. Etwas außerhalb gelegen, ca. 40 Minuten zu Fuß bis in die Innenstadt. Das Frühstückbuffet ist ausbaufähig und die Hotelbar hochpreisig.
