The hotel location is the best, bcs shopping mall Wet market,wholesale market, Little box kuek lapis store, massage near to the hotel.
If you want twin beds, do not book superior room as they dont provide twin beds.
Book under Delxue.
Breakfast are provided.
Rooms are not sound proof. Can hear alot of people talking while walking pass the room door.
Services are good too.

My recent stay at the Aston Inn Gideon in Batam was unfortunately quite disappointing, marred by a series of issues that significantly impacted our comfort and overall experience.
We were initially pleased to receive an early check-in and a complimentary upgrade to a family room, which was indeed very spacious. However, our excitement quickly faded as we discovered the room was uncomfortably hot with only one air conditioning unit, taking an excessive amount of time to cool down.
The issues escalated when we found a cockroach in the room. While the staff promptly accommodated our request for a room change to a similar size, our relief was short-lived. The replacement room was disappointingly not thoroughly clean, evidenced by a half-drank KOI beverage left in the fridge from a previous guest. This lack of attention to detail was quite off-putting.
On our second day, the electricity for the hairdryer and air conditioning inexplicably cut off mid-use. Despite calling for assistance, no one from the staff came to help us. This breakdown in service, coupled with the previous issues, led us to make the decision to check out early. It was particularly frustrating to observe staff members laughing and listening to music when I opened my door, which further highlighted the perceived lack of urgency or concern for our situation.
While the early check-in and room upgrade were initially positive gestures, they were unfortunately overshadowed by significant cleanliness issues, maintenance problems, and a concerning lack of responsiveness from the staff. Based on this experience, I would be hesitant to recommend Aston Inn Gideon to others.
While the hotel's location is great, offering numerous food options nearby, it's also important to note that there are many other hotel choices in the vicinity that potential guests might consider given the issues encountered here.

Selected the family suite - biggest room for our family of 3. The room was big and located on level 2. I stayed at rm 225 corner room. Breakfast was good although the fried cakue and coffee can be better. Location is perfect…in between BCS and Grand Batam mall and the local market which provided good food options in the day time and also A2 food court at night. A lot of massage places as well. Will come back to stay.

Bedding,TV & aircon qualities were better but please see enclosed as notice the shower room safety hazard.
Please have them fix well as its really dangerous if this fall off during shower.
Please look into the issue seriously.
Will visit & do hope to see improvement on the following.
Btw please provide bathroom mat outside the shower room.

We booked the family room - there are two room types for this room and we requested for the 3 single bed option. Happy that they were able to give us that room! The staffs are friendly and helpful. The location is amazing. 1-2 mins walk to the keropok stalls at Penuin Market, 5-7 mins walk to Grand Batam Mall. Breakfast was alright, variety was okay but taste was average. There’s dry indomie though, that was good!

Super convenient location. 3 mins walk to BCS Mall. Surrounded by all kinds of eateries and beauty saloons. Wide breakfast selection spreads with acceptable standards. Amenities aged but cleanliness were good.

The staff were friendly. Freni and Riski were always with a ready smile. The lobby has ample seatings and smelt good. However, the male toilets at the lobby had poor ventilation and smelt bad.

we were given smoking room instead of non smoking room when we check in. the smoking still got smell when we return back at dinner. The noise isn't sound proof when people walk past the walkway. the lift can reset when overload during breakfast time.

Overall location is good as nearby lots of food eateries. Room space is spacious. No mini fridge in the room so difficult to have cold drinks. The shower is not having warm water although the heater is on and the water pressure is not strong enough. Overall stay is pleasant as hotel staffs are helpful upon any requests.
