Cold Springs Boutique Hotel - Karen

After not even checking in at my first hotel (Chester Suits Hotel) after bad experience!! I ended up here some distance out of town. Good area, well, there’s only houses with high security around this hotel, so very safe!! Great room, I could choose, and great service and great staff!! Too hard bed for me! Really nice breakfast and pool area but to say they have a gym… no! Two stair master, one bench to do crunches and one treadmill which didn’t work when I tried to start it! Good for cupules! 👍😉😍

This quaint boutique hotel is absolutely charming and the team incredibly delightful. I loved the peace and quiet - very serene. It was exactly what I was looking for, and it exceeded my expectations. Lastly, it is conveniently located near Nairobi National Park, Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Center and the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.

We consider ourselves experienced travellers but this was just one of the best experiences we have had. The service was super, staff very nice and professional, the garden was just lovely and well maintained. We had breakfast outside and the food was delicious. Every day! One of us had birthday and every staff helped to make this a birthday party we will remember. The rooms were charming and all had its own atmosphere. Being Europeans we are still very dependent on stable Wi-Fi when visiting Kenya, this was at times a little unreliable but that is the only slight potential for improvement we could find. We will recommend the place highly, and have already made plans for coming back.

I needed a place to relax for my birthday and Coldsprings did not disappoint. It is located in a relatively calm area, with a beautiful garden, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is not your regular large hotel, and I would therefore recommend this to anyone looking for some peace and quiet. The food was great and the ambience even greater. Joab, who received us upon entry, offered some commendable customer service from the beginning to the end of our stay. The only thing I can recommend is an improvement in terms of communication, and perhaps not being so rigid with checkout times. I wanted to leave at about 2pm, but that wasn't allowed "according to hotel policy" and no alternative had been offered to whoever booked the room for me. That was a bit disappointing. Email inquiries also take a while before being responded to.

We needed a place to stay prior to a Safari starting in Nairobi. We had planned on staying at the Stanley (more about that in their post) but it was in a covid 'bubble' for an athletic event. We chose to stay in the lovely suburb of Karen so as to be safer from both Covid and also what we didn't know about Nai-robby. We got in really late (2am) and found them up and waiting to escort us to our rooms. VERY NICE! The rooms are clean and basic. A bit of updating could be done but very serviceable. The grounds are beautiful and maintained perfectly. We had our breakfast in the open patio every day with lovely meals and options. The service was GREAT! Nice people, very helpful and genuine. Recommend it highly and it was a great value as well.

Since 2015 to date,l have been Assigned Transport contract with coldsprings hotel,My work included Picking the Hotel Guests from Airport to hotel,Offering Hotel Guests,Transport to work,gamedrives and Attraction in karen and in Nairobi,All Guests were Happy with their stay at the hotel,the always appreciated the welcoming from Hotel Manager,Steve Ndong,Dancan and Anita, Dan and Anita always call me in time to pick the Guest,working with them was excellent,am still happy to work with them regardless of Covid,
