The Dome Boutique Apartments

Superb location central in Napier with beautiful sea views enjoyed from the room or on the balcony. Spacious and well equipped with homely needs and an excellent stereo system. Little touches like coffee, tea and milk. This was one of favourite places we’ve stayed at here in NZ on our travels. Bike trips out to the vineyards etc.

Unique, very central to shops and restaurants, clean - loved the dome dining room. Plenty of space for a family of 5/6. Reserved Car park about 500m from the unit, but unloaded from the loading bay then got my partner to walk back. Lovely views. Quiet. Underfloor heating in en-suite, Would definitely stay here again. If staying for one night only I would use car parks on street and pay hourly parking rate as the car park was not in a building, and parking was free after 6pm.

What a stunning place to stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Location was perfect with all amenities outside the front entrance.

Absolutely gorgeous apartment, so spacious, luxurious and well appointed. Bed was super comfortable. Very convenient location and loved lokking out at ocen and listening to the waves at night time. Easy check in procedure. Wanted to stay longer!

Fantastic apartment fully furnished with full kitchen, in excellent condition. Access to two terraces with seaview, one private and one shared. Prime location along Marine Parade, in the old town. Lots of natural light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows to access the terraces and 4 large windows in the bedroom.

Spacious and luxurious amenities with special features, comfy bed and extra cushions, large lamps and comfy chairs Large bathtub with candle was very nice. Use of common laundry was helpful. TV was too small, so a larger smart TV would have been better.

An art deco building right on the seafront in Napier and 300m from town centre. No on site parking but they have some reserved spaces 400m away on Hastings St for $20 per day. It is possible to pull up for a few minutes outside the Hotel to unload luggage. This is not really a hotel just high end apartments with no bar or restaurant on site and no staff. Despite this the check in arrangements done by email worked fine. We were in Pacific Suite 1 with fantastic sea views. Decent size room with good bathroom . Very comfortable bed with good quality linen. Spotlessly clean. We did not have some of the issues other reviewers encountered. If you are self sufficient this is a well located place to stay

Absolutely loved the spaciousness, quality & location of our apartment at The Dome. Very comfortable & luxurious indeed. Why not 5 stars, then? Firstly, access & parking are not easy. Secondly (and more importantly), the town of Napier itself is a fading, tired old resort. Finally, don't stay on a Tuesday. Every restaurant in Napier appears to be shut!

The worst "luxury" accomodation in Napier. Booked on The Dome website directly on their site, nowhere on the gateway did it mention anything about the building being under construction. The sea view was in fact a view of scaffold and the outdoor areas were an unsightly mess not to mention a major health and safety. Contacted management who sent back a snarky text. The room was a mess, debris which had obviously blown off the balcony everywhere. Emergency exit door which lead to outside area was locked from the outside, don't know what their plan was in the event of an emergency. Sent an email this time to outline our concerns which was met with a nasty reply in place of an apology, not a single sorry. The compensation we were offered was laughable- a $50 refund. For a weekend away my partner sure felt like he was still at work on a building site. If you like the sound of construction and the view of scaffold this is the place for you!!
