Kymata Hotel

We (3 couples) stayed at the lovely Hotel Kymata for 6 nights and had a wonderful time. The rooms are small but had everything we needed…mini fridge, safe, electric kettle, plenty of closet space. We loved our small balconies with a sea view. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options daily. It was conveniently located to town, grocery stores, and the beach. But best of all were the staff………always so pleasant, warm, and helpful! We would love to return!

Very nice family managing the hotel. After a terrible experience in Hotel Sagterra, where we checked out earlier due to lack of conditions and rudeness of the staff, we found this lovely place managed by a very positive and nice family who tried their best to change the image we unfortunately received from Naxos. The breakfast was amazing, all hand made with care and love. The lady cook was incredible, very sweet and polite. The gentleman at the door received us with a local liqueur. Everything was very clean and light! Next to the beach and 3 minutes walk from the port. Nice location.

I’ve travelled around Greece to many islands this trip & this was by far my favourite accommodation simply for the fact of how welcoming and caring the staff is! They treated me like family, I felt like I was at my grandmothers house & it was honestly upsetting to leave them. 5/5 rating by me :)

Our 2nd trip to Naxos was in June 2022 and my husband and I decided to stay a little closer to St. George beach this time (in 2019 we stayed in the centre of Chora). We are so happy we chose Kymata Hotel for this trip. It was PERFECT!! Kymata Hotel is steps away from Agios Georgios beach (the closest beach to Naxos town center) but still only a 10 minute walk to the main center and “*****” of the Chora, and maybe 15 mins max walk to the main bus station. There are lots of restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets steps away from the hotel, and it was so nice to pop down to the beach in a matter of minutes for a swim, as the weather was HOT when we were there in June. There is no pool at this hotel so it was great to be so close to the beach if you like to swim like we do. The hotel itself is very clean, charming, peaceful, and very quiet for sleeping, which we were happy about. If you book your stay directly through the hotel’s website, your rate will include daily breakfast (buffet style). A handy feature is that there is a water tap just outside of the hotel which is fed by a natural mountain spring, so you can continuously fill up your empty water bottles during your stay, rather than buying new ones every day, as you cannot drink the tap water here. This was well used by us as we are big water drinkers and one of the bottles we kept filled to use for the kettle. Makis, Christos and Anna were all wonderful staff/hosts - they were always polite and very helpful, and we enjoyed speaking with them after our days out to share what we got up to each day. They also can arrange tours for you as well as car rentals, directly at the hotels desk. We stayed on the very top floor of the hotel in the “Suite with Sea View” (Two- roomed suite for 4 people on the top floor with sea, town, and port view). It had a HUGE terrace with a panoramic view of the sea, including St. George beach, the port where all the ferries would come in, the marina, the famous Portara (Arch of Apollo), and Paros Island just across the way. It also provided a lovely breeze on those hot sunny days and we could watch the most amazing sunsets directly from the terrace as well! There was a great amount of private outdoor space on te terrace and it was equipped with two large comfy arm chairs with seat cushions and a loveseat style sofa as well as a coffee table. There were also 4 lounger/sunbathing style chairs to relax on and enjoy all the sunshine. A covered section of the terrace provided some shade and had an outdoor dining table underneath to eat any take out you may bring back to your room. Our room had the best view in all of Naxos! The bed was queen size and firm but comfy, with soft sheets and lots of pillows. The room had a separate area (with a door) that had two couches which could each become a single bed, in there was also a tv, though we didn’t turn it on once so I’m not sure about channels. This additional room was great for early risers or if you have kids with

All the staff were very friendly and provided a lovely welcome. They were responsive to a concern we had with the AC and fixed it. The breakfast was yummy. The location was excellent in a quiet area with just a short walk into town and to the beach. We had the apar**ent which had a lovely patio. The room was a bit basic but fairly comfortable. Would have liked some darker curtains for keeping the light out.

My stay in Kymata was the most beautiful experience ever. The hotel is nice, clean and perfect located , but the best part is the people. Is like visiting family. I was with my sister, and we felt welcome since the moment with step inside. Owners and employees were wonderful, helping with any questions, laughing with us, and the breakfast, wowww, the most delicious fruit pancakes, fritattas... Eugenia is the best. Great experience.

The Kymata is a family run hotel, with spotless rooms (well mine was!), serving an excellent home cooked breakfast with lots of options. The owners & staff were very welcoming, always on-hand to answer questions and very helpful. I was even loaned an umbrella one evening when there was a threat of inclement weather. It is in great location. Only a few meter's from the beach, with lots of cafes, restaurants, bars, and supermarkets close by and approximately a 10-minute walk to the main town & port that offers an extensive range of cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Hotel Kymatta highly recommended - friendly owners, helpful staff, superb service, and excellent location.
