Although we own a property in Nerja, we booked 3 nights in this hostal so our son and his friends could have a short holiday at our place. The hostal is ideally placed by the lovely Plaza Cantarero, which has a cafe bar, and it is just a short walk down to town and The Balcon. The owner is a lovely woman and her decorative touches make this hostal a very comfortable place to spend a short break. Lots of quirky ornaments and a beautiful, large communal roof terrace for guests, with plenty of seating, an outside shower and a toilet. Our room had a Juliet balcony overlooking Calle Pintada, a lovely tree-lined street that takes you own to the centre Balcon area. Could be a little noisy at times but it doesn't bother me as I enjoy the sound of the town waking up, street cleaners chatting etc. Toiletries and tea and coffee-making facilities are provided in the room, plus a hairdryer. For those who would want to use it, there is also a fridge on the roof terrace. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay.
