Apartamentos Plaza Cavana 5

Other than the prime location and the cleanliness of the room I really don't have any other good points which is such a shame because the apar**ent block is perfect for a short nerja trip! 1. Ants in the room by the kitchen and bathroom. 2. Air conditioning not working, and I phoned as I arrived and they came to fix after a third phonecall, on the last night at 5pm. Disgusting customer service. Couldn't fix the air con so bought in a portable unit. 3. The pool drained randomly and my children couldn't use it for an entire day out of a 5 day holiday. I phoned to inform them. 4. No internet connection despite internet being advertised as available. 5. During a phonecall a member of staff said I could stay late, until 12pm on check out day so my children could use the pool, on phoning in the morning to confirm they were expecting this a lady told me it absolutely was not possible and then hung up on me. 6. Only one key and no one to answer phones after office hours. What do you do if you lose your key after 6pm? 7. No umbrellas on the rooftop, which reading reviews has been a problem since 2021. How hard is it to buy 5 umbrella's

I booked a taxi transfer with hotel booking and paid 70 euros. After waiting a while at Malaga airport I phoned the hotel to find they hadn’t booked transfer. I then had to get a taxi which cost 96 euros. The hotel did transfer me 61 euros back into my account (not the 70 I’d originally paid) but I was still out of pocket as I could have booked another transfer for 70 euros if I’d known the hotel were not going to do it. I had the sea view apar**ent with balcony which is actually a studio so not suitable for 3 sharing adults. My parents ended up booking into a neighbouring hotel, at more cost. There is no reception, so you need to phone if you have any issues. However, I still gave a 4 as the location is perfect, apar**ent is clean and beds comfortable and now I know the situation I would go back.

To start on a positive - the apar**ent and the whole building were super clean. The roof terrace is a pleasant place to spend an afternoon by the pool. Whilst the location is great in terms of balcon de Europa etc, that comes with its draw backs, mainly - the noise. We were in a first floor appt - you get the noise from the bar downstairs until 1am(ish) then the road sweeper and jet washing etc of the plaza commences from 5:30am and then the setting up of the bars etc underneath from then on.. so we had hardly any sleep during our stay. The apar**ents on the plaza side are also really dark, no sun during any part of the day and the bathroom has no natural light at all. There was also constant construction work going on all day, everyday around the plaza, including in the bar directly underneath our apar**ent, so you couldn't sit on the balcony at all and in fact wanted to spend as much time out as possible.

Good roomy apar**ent with sitting balcony and Juliet balcony. We stayed in apar**ent 1D in January 2023. All the facilities were excellent with fully fitted kitchen, dining area, comfortable twin beds and very clean bathroom. The apar**ent faced north overlooking the Plaza Cavana. I would imagine that in high summer this would be noisy late at night but we had no problem at this time of year. One down side was that we were a little cold especially at night and extra blankets would have been welcome. There was a lovely sun terrace on the roof which we made good use of. All the facilities of the town are nearby and there are also two beaches within easy walking distance.as well as the famous Balcon de Europe! Unfortunately we had been there 5 days and had not been offered clean towels or bedding. I had to request a change of all linen. The internet was extremely patchy !

Stayed in Nerja last year in Hotel Plaza Cavana, facing Plaza cavana 5 ,it was a lovely Hotel and We Gave it the great revue it deserved This time we said we would try Apar**ents Plaza Cavana 5,as from the roof we coudl see there lovely pool and layout ,so despite some not so good reviews. we decided on Plaza Cavana 5 Now my revue ,arrived at 3.00pm as directed i collected my apar**ent keys from safe with code outside ,very secure apar**ents ours 1B was spotless clean ,lovely and fresh ,every thing we need was at hand ,lovely decor ,pleanty of room, great wi fi and a lovely balcony with a sea view ,beds very confy ,Great Bathroom, Plaza Cavana 5 is a lovely apar**ent block,and will be were we stay on our next visit to the lovely Nerja
