Ajay Guest House

Good location walking distance from New Delhi railway station and RK Ashram Marg metro station. WiFi was good, sheets were dirty and shower was lukewarm. Rooftop terrace is nice. Staff were helpful, overall decent place for price.

What a awful place to stay... The single biggest issue for me is noise. . Massive amounts. There is a complete disregard for the need of guests. The staff are the worst culprits. They sit outside rooms in the corridor / open areas chatting loudly until 1, 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. Then start up again at 6am. The entrance is open to a very busy side street. No doors, no glass.. Nothing. The street is frequently filled with young children. Playing, shrieking and screaming. The noise bounces around like an echo chamber. The first floor windows, again are open to the side street.. More noise permeates. Then, let's talk about cleanliness. There is none. Cockroaches downstairs, bedbugs and insects in every room. All rooms smell of damp and neglect. Nothing smells clean or fresh. Open electric boxes, rubbish dumped in corners... Other than the price, there is nothing to commend this place!! The WiFi is rubbish and generally the staff are completely disinterested. They only use English when they want money or to sell services (like laundry etc). Complaints fall on deaf ears and a sudden lack of English. I'm here with a friend. She left yesterday to see other friends and travel. I leave tomorrow. Thank God. I'll never darken their doorstep again. The Krishna is just as awful. Rates 800~1000r per night. (yes, quite cheap... But still double what my friend usually wants to pay) Tonight Sunday, I'm up at 5am to get a train. It's way past midnight & staff are working, yes with machinery, chatting & laughing... Which the ***ager thinks is OK... Aawful!! Never again, never ever again. An awful experience. Shame on the Ajay ***agement team. But, all is not lost. Just around the or er, for a mere 1200r per night is the Cottage Ganga Inn. Quiet, clean, peaceful. Nice staff. When I come back from Jaipur, I will be going there.

The room was very dirty ( pillow cover,floor, toilet and ect). Bad smell Bad connections to wifi Location in the middle of the main bazaar The communication with the stuff is hard (don't know English well) Not recommended

So it’s not the best but not the worse of india and it’s a good location. The shower was working and even offered me some Lukewarm water that was a nice surprise! I actually recom***de this place the staff is nice and there’s ***y other hotel in the same street if you don’t like this one!

This guest house is located at about 10- 15 minute walking distance from new Delhi railway station (in new delhi railway station ask for Paharganj exit) and rk ashram metro station. In fact this guest house is located mid way between New Delhi railway station and rk ashram metro station. At exit of New Delhi railway station (Paharganj side) one can find ***y share auto's going to rk ashram metro station. Board those share auto's to reach Ajay guest house and the share auto fare is Rs 10 per person. This is a budget place for stay. I paid Rs 500 per night for a non AC single room and they gave 24 hour's checkout. If we go to the guest house directly and book they give 24 hour's checkout. The room was good. Toilet was clean and a geyser was also there for hot water bath . Those on a budget trip to Delhi I will suggest Ajay guest house at Paharganj as a place to stay . I could see families too staying in this guest house
