Travelodge Newport Isle of Wight

We were looking for somewhere for a 4 day stay to visit friends and Travelodge Newport I.O.W. ticks all the boxes !!

Had a fantastic stay here, the cooked breakfast is amazing and Chrissy was a very welcoming host and looked after all my needs... a great place to stay in Newport as really close to the High Street and a short walk to the quay, highly recommended, thank you so much... Dave

This is a very clean, well run, very conveniently located and surprisingly quiet hotel with spacious rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. Special thanks to Chrissy for being attentive and always welcoming. Shout out to Doreen with her killer tapas dishes. David was very responsive and helpful with the many requests I had. Sophie as well is very friendly. Looking forward to my next stay here when I return to the Island especially as the sun is coming out.

Lovely friendly staff & always willing to help.Comfy clean hotel and rooms. A small issue from a recent previous visit had been attended to. Good location near to, but on, main street so convenient but not as noisy as some.Nicely done meals in the small cafe - we had good sized dinners, ice creams and hot drinks. Didn't have the breakfast but went to check it out one morning - really nice looking basic cooked breakfast options , would eat next time and would stay here again. Newport is a good central location for exploring the IOW and the public transport hub IOW has great bus services) and the Travelodge is well placed at the end of the small town for walking round. Good eating pubs, cafes and clothes shops too.

We stayed for a night and explored the town. The staff were great and the room was clean. The bar was good with sensible prices. The only let-down was a previous occupant had clearly been smoking in the ensuite, so the room needed a deep clean from the point of view of a non-smoker!

Friendly & very helpful staff Chrissy told me where to park & where to eat Excellent location close to town centre We were able to get around the Island easily from the hotel by car. The bar we did use for drinks before dinner & prices were very reasonable

Excellent staff and room was very comfy, clean and warm. I was only here for one night but will certainly book again next time I am there for business.

If you’re looking for a very friendly no frills break, you can’t do better than this. Once I found a decent pillow it was just lovely. Ideal position, staff very friendly and welcoming. I’m coeliac and lactose intolerant and they couldn’t help me enough. Must give a shout out to Doreen at breakfast, especially. She always made sure I had an Alpro yogurt and enough soya milk for my cereal and to put in my small flask so I could use it through the day for coffee if needed. The only thing that wasn’t available (although tbf I didn’t ask, as I’m not bothered about it) was gf toast. I bought some bread buns from M and S as I prefer bread and spread. There’s an M n S and a Morrisons in walking distance through the town. The only things I couldn’t eat from the buffet were the scrambled eggs and the sausages, though gf sausages are so available nowadays I don’t understand it. There were individual Schar cornflake packets, fresh fruit and fruit compote. Also, lots of jams and spreads if you have bread. Everything on the buffet was well labelled also. Back bacon, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, hash browns and beans.I ate very well here and wasn’t ill once. I hope this helps someone who is debating the safety of eating there. We’d certainly go back again.

Fantastic, staff very helpful smiley and friendly especially chrissy and doren beds are super so comfortable had a good nights ,going purchase one of the matress differently, Rooms clean and good breakfast ,great value for the money ,one thing could do with slip mat in shower
