The Harbour

The Harbour Hotel is a fantastic place to stay, with super friendly and accommodating staff along with amazing food and beautiful accommodation you couldn’t ask for more! The dinner and breakfast was particularly special, the food will truly WOW you! We will happily come back any day😁

After a long year we, a last, got to revisit our "happy place" and returned to The Harbour Hotel for a 3 night break - and we LOVED IT! We stayed in room 1 with the dual aspect views and it was just as good as our previous visits. A really cosy room, clean and comfortable and nothing is too much trouble for Aaron and his team. It's our "home from home" when visiting Cornwall. The food in the restaurant is amazing too. We always find it very hard to leave and our next trip is already booked.

We were looking for quaint hotel with a view, and we got it! The rooms are small, but comfy and with a balcony overlooking beach and marina. Great views of wonderful sunsets. Staff was friendly and helpful. Aaron is owner and chef, and food was amazing, with breakfast included. So make sure to book a reservation for dinner, with a menu that is creative and food that was wonderful, and with a reasonable wine list. Location was great for walking on the beach and around town. We will definitely return. And note that Cornwall beers are really good. Aaron - hope the wedding and Springsteen were both amazing. Michael and Julie

This is our 4th visit to the hotel and as usual, the place is amazing. The staff are just so accommodating and friendly. We booked our usual room No.1. Its suits us with our english bulldog who likes to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. The room has the best view in Newquay. The place is very homely and the food is just amazing from the breakfast to evening meals in the restaurant. Aaron is just an exceptional chef and i would recommend the food even if you aren’t staying in the hotel. Thanks to Aaron and the rest of the staff! What a totally disappointing experience. No one answers the phones. You can’t ask for any information as it’s all locked up and no one answers the door. We eventually got inside and our room was awful. Small, dirty, nothing pat tested and a whirlpool bath which couldn’t keep the water in. The pillows didn’t fit into the covers, there was rubbish left from the previous guests and the furniture is tired, old and not really fit for purpose. There is a tiny telly on the wall, but you can’t watch it from the bed as the the bed had a huge footboard. The fridge in the room is a small fridge on the floor randomly plugged in. And the room was dirty. The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on.

Great little find and the views were fantastic. Room was a little tired but when you have such an amazing view it’s not a biggie. Lovely and clean + staff super friendly. We also managed to get a parking space outside which helped 😉

The only thing 4 star about this hotel is the view. Our room, "Alive"had broken furniture, shabby carpets, black mould in the shower grouting, broken toilet roll holder and nasty stains on the radiator. There was rubbish behind the bed and even clothing left in the wardrobe from the last guest!. A vacuum cleaner nozzle hadn't seen the edges or around the furniture for at least 12 months. When I wiped the TV remote the filth on it was disgusting. I had to wipe the bottom of the wardrobe before considering putting my clothes in it. I was so upset at the dirtiness of a room which was costing us over £800 for four nights,( that you have to pay when you check in by the way) that I asked for it to be cleaned again before it felt useable. At least that got rid of the flies. I thought the 4 star breakfast would save the day but it was NOT 4 star. No continental choice to help yourself, just a menu that stated VERY clearly that there was a choice of one plate of food (one being a bacon sandwich OR an egg sandwich), and any further foods would be chargeable!! We were left hungry on the first three mornings but on our final morning it was a different chef who did us a hearty full breakfast with extra toast and jam. Apparently it had to be just jam....that was all they offered! Absolutely NOT 4 star, an average 3 at best. Your reception area is "sticky" dirty, shabby carpets and decor and needs more attention. Won't be booking again.....even for the stunning view.

This is a lovely quaint charming hotel situated in a fantastic location overlooking Newquay harbour. We were met by Sarah who was so warm and hospitable and made us feel very welcome. The rooms each have a balcony with furniture on which allows you sit and watch the beautiful harbour and the amazing coastline. The room was clean and warm and the bed was very comfortable. Fresh towels provided and plenty of hot water. There is tea, coffee, biscuits and bottle water in the room and adequate hanging space. Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant was closed during the evening, but the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The costal path is definitely worth finding to Fistral beach. We shall definitely return. Thank you !

What a wonderful hotel. Sitting in the best position over Newquay harbour. The views are amazing. The staff were fantastic and Aaron the owner is so friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is also amazing. We had a great stay and will return
