Hôtels proches de Joris Ivens - monument, Nimègue

The place is nice, staff great. Unfortunately I can not split the stars so please read this. The one star is just and only for the Spa, and it's management. Today I booked a duo scrub to do something nice with my daughter. On the website it is written: Scrub, cream, and head massage for 2 people.50 minutes, 98 euro. This is misleading and totally unfair for the client. We get in and we have 1 masseuse for 2 people.So technically I am paying 49 euro each for 25 (it was 20 at the end) minutes, and not for 50 minutes. Again: THIS is not specified on the website. We are sitting on no bed, just some estethician chairs which put your head lower than your body, totally uncomfortable. Totally low standards. We get scrub on 4 parts of our body: lower legs, front arms, beginning of your back and belly.And we are asked to turn. So only front Then we shower, and with the swimming suits on and with the face towel we get (small) it's totally impossible to get the scrub out. I remove my swimming suit, and I ask for a shower towel, while I am trying butt naked to climb on the chair again. Then comes the cream on the same 4 spots. At my question : why don't we get cream on hands and feet, she says that: The cream makes the feet sliding and the client could fall (!!) And: Masseuse has a phobia touching feet. (Really??? Who hired you?and why don't you do facials then?). Last is the head massage of 5 minutes which it hurts because the amount of oil is non existent. We leave and we paid 98 euro for half a treatment, a partial scrub, a partial cream, dry hands, feet, and lower back, and scrub all over places that I can't name. Masseuse pretends not to see my disappointment or she doesn't care That's a rip off. Nowhere on the website are these things mentioned and we were not informed upfront that the treatment would be only for 4 parts of the body and the masseuse was phobic. I didn't get the choice to stand up and leave, instead of being robbed off I go to complain to reception and the EXCEPTIONAL Lucy (excellent customer care) talks with the spa manager. Obviously the management hired the phobic masseuse so that's the standard. Amateur hour I don't get any excuses, and only 23 euro off the bill. Poor Lucy is left to represent the Sanadome and the shabby operation of a cheap and amateur spa management. She offers me drinks. I appreciate it. I would go back to the hotel and to the thermae, however I won't book a treatment ever again. And so should you do as well! Note for Sanadome management: This kind of service which is obviously incompetently managed from a third part, lowers your standards and your stars. Très belle auberge, chambre confortable, menu terrasse super, petit déjeuner avec un buffet super bien garni. Belle découverte dans ce petit village. Un excellent service et accueil chaleureux.très bon rapport qualité prix et situation au centre de la région.

Just a short (thankfully downhill) walk from the railway station (extensive rail and bus services give easy access to almost anywhere in the Netherlands) the hotel is an even shorter walk from the north bank of the Nederrijn with its shady walks and numerous restaurants. Very handy as there is no restaurant at any IHG Express. As I arrived mid-morning the room was not ready but the staff (more about them later) were happy to store my case until I returned that afternoon (and again after checkout before leaving on an afternoon train). The room itself was a good size with a large comfortable bed, a functional desk and chair and a comfortable chair. Air conditioning kept the temperature stable and the lighting was good - not the ”fashionable” near darkness of some. Bathroom was good with a spacious shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Coffee and tea available. Breakfast is the only meal offered and is a fairly basic standard european offering. Meats, eggs and cheeses were adequate, yoghurt good, fresh fruit salad very good indeed. Coffee was machine provided and good with a variety of offerings. No hot options (standard with the Express brand) and I did not try any of the other cold choices. Although fairly centrally located with easy access to shops and all the usual facilities and infrastructure the room was quiet and peaceful. An Albert Heijn mini-supermarket opposite attracted small groups in the evening but was not a bother - indeed very useful for an occasional small purchase. All standard and as expected for the brand so why mark it excellent? I will come back to the staff who were unfailingly excellent - helpful, cheery and friendly (though never less than professional) and recognised me by the end of day 1. A credit to the hotel and its management. This is now my first choice when next in the vicinity

L'hôtel est idéalement situé à côté de la gare centrale et au bord du centre commercial. Dans le hall, vous pouvez travailler et prendre un thé ou un café gratuits. Le personnel est jeune et informel. Les chambres ne sont pas grandes, mais un bon lit et une salle de bains. Malheureusement, nous trouvons le péché de mort pour chaque chambre d'hôtel: une bouteille de glisseur des anciens clients sous le lit. Bien que la chambre n'était pas saine, c'est bien sûr un point d'attention.

Tsja, wat kun je ervan zeggen? Van exclusiviteit is absoluut geen sprake meer. Gaten in de lakens met het en der oud bloed, smerige gordijnen en elke vorm van sfeer is wegbezuinigd in je hotelkamer. Zelfs een bekertje op de badkamer om je mond te spoelen na het tandenpoetsen was er niet. Het eten was belachelijk duur en de kwaliteit om te huilen. Tip voor de kok: overweeg een carrière switch. Het schaaltje met “warme groenten” leek op groenten die je uit het putje van de afvoer peutert, opgeleukt met een onduidelijk nat van curry en kokos. Sashimi van zalm? Sashimi van sashimi had beter gestaan - drie flinter dunne plakjes waar mijn moeder ook nog ziek van geworden is. Dit hotel is tevens een tijdelijk opvangcentrum voor asielzoekers. Hier hebben wij geen problemen van ondervonden, maar communiceer dit met je gasten. Iets met transparantie? Dit ben je als miljoenenconcern verplicht, namelijk. Fijn dat je asielzoekers een warm bed kan bieden, maar een kleine heads-up was fijn geweest. Niet iedereen is hier namelijk van gediend. Neem een voorbeeld aan je collega’s in Brabant, van der Valk. Het receptie personeel heeft de lipjes getuit en een vervelende hautaine air. Werk aan je softskills dames, dat staat beter.

Nous étions ensuite en Kleve pour un court voyage et nous sommes de nouveau enthousiastes. Comme notre arrivée est courte, nous avons mangé un petit déjeuner (très bon) et nous avons pu prendre notre chambre bien avant le temps. Beau et avec la vue sur le Spoy! Inquietement nous a enthousiasmé le pain de soir. Rarement, nous n'avons jamais mangé de poissons si bons en dehors de la côte. Un petit conseil, mais aussi bien que le conseil, ne serait pas critique: une meilleure présence médiatique sur la possibilité d'information serait belle. Et un rêve serait une petite portion pour les adultes. Nous ne créerons jamais le soir. Le bourreau était incomparablement bon, mais malheureusement, il n'y avait plus de place pour un déssert. Une remerciement spéciale à ce moment à Heidi et les autres anges pour les nombreux conseils et la patience incroyable sur le sujet de l'air conditionné!

High-quality hotel. Les grandes installations de la chambre sont nouvelles et le séjour est très confortable. La réception est très bonne. Parce que l'hôtel organise des activités à temps et que les gens arrivent plus souvent. Je ne sais pas pourquoi la radio est soudainement très bruyante dans la chambre de la nuit et de la midi, le chat ne peut pas entendre, elle a été diffusée trois fois. Les clients du magasin sont gratuits.
