Stoneleigh Barn Bed and Breakfast

Lovely little b&b, owners were very welcoming. Breakfast was great, bed comfy, lovely big garden, kid friendly.

What a wonderful little gem! We decided midday that we fancied a night away and found this wonderful place, we had the deluxe room for my son and I, it was huge beautiful mattress and pillows .. super big bath ! Rupert and his little dog nu**eg looked after us grandly ! Tea and biscuits on arrival and a FEB with fruit and cereal the morning after .. dinner in the local what a great evening we had

A welcoming and characterful B&B close to Sherborne. Rupert is a brilliant host, so helpful and friendly, found us a restaurant for dinner and booked it for us, even gave us some ice for my partner's sprained ankle. The little dog Nu**eg is also an adorable host, escorting and entertaining visitors. Good variety of food for breakfast with a great view of the garden. Comfortable and warm room with a spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated bathroom. Would definitely recommend for a stay in the local area.

What can I say other than what a beautiful place this is. The service was superb, Rupert and Camilla are without doubt the nicest hosts you could ever wish to meet and Nu**eg the little dog is just adorable. We only stayed one night as we were doing a karting event but have already decided that we will visit again in the future! Rupert welcomed us on arrival, took our bags to our room and gave us a little tour of the B and B, our room had been heated so it was toasty on arrival and Rupert provided us with a flask of fresh milk for our coffee rather than the UHT milk which is norm for other properties. We were eating out and Rupert kindly booked a table for us at the local pub and even gave us directions on how to get there….very kind. Room was spotless, beautifully decorated with nice comfortable furniture and a really comfortable bed, we slept like logs! Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, plenty of choice, great quality ingredients and cooked to perfection, hosts were extremely attentive ensuring we had enough to eat and drink. All in all our stay was fantastic, thank you so much Rupert and Camilla and of course Nu**eg too! We’ll be back again! Wayne & Jo.

Excellent from start to finish. Beautiful surroundings, excellent service, large size room with all the amenities, very clean and a very good breakfast. Welcoming host, local to shops and town. Warm shower. Perfect. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic B&B. Rupert was attentive and pleasant throughout. The bedroom is absolutely beautiful with real character being very clean. Breakfast was very very good, with Rupert happy to cater for my intolerance with absolutely no judgement (which is rare). Their garden is very pretty and makes for a very peaceful place to enjoy breakfast. The house has real character with lovely artwork and books throughout, I was just disappointed that with my busy schedule I was unable to enjoy it further. Thank you again, I'll certainly be back!

Outstanding !! From the minute we arrived the host Rupert couldn’t do enough for us - and as for Nu**eg the terrier she’s the best alarm clock came to our room to collect us for breakfast on the terrace . Honestly the best place we’ve stayed at by far - longing to go back already .

The character and history is obvious in the hotel, with a owner who is friendly and affable, who contributed in a big way in making the stay feel more special. Very comfortable beds and a luxurious bathroom (my 6'3" frame rarely gets a soak) I was looking for an affordable place to lay my head, but found a future favourite instead.

Absolutely fantastic B&B. I give this 10/10. The owner was so helpful and kind. The room was wonderful and very spacious as was the bathroom. We stayed in the blue room. After coming back from town in the evening we were asked if we would like to sit in the garden which we did until about 11,15pm. It was heavenly. We had breakfast in the garden and there was a lot of choices to have. Would definitely recommend this place. It was more than a B&B.
