This place never fails to impress each time we go. We attended a birthday lunch for 45 people and it was great. Being in the conservatory and being able to use the garden was great. The food was great and the staff, as always, were brilliant. We will certainly be returning soon. *****

Stayed two nights. The hotel was welcoming and the staff were brilliant during our stay. Our room was clean and tidy, tea and coffee was ample. We ate every evening in their restaurant the meals were excellent and portions good, breakfast was included in our price and again portions were excellent. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate to book again if we’re in the area again.

This small family run hotel is a great place to stay. We have taken advantage of the EV charger here on recent trips to Norfolk and have always found the staff and owner to be very friendly and helpful. This time we decided to stay the night. We were very happy with the quality of the room, it was clean, well appointed with a mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and all the things you would expect for a comfortable stay. We had an evening meal and breakfast. There was a selection of choices and the meals were very good, served promptly by lovely staff. Although not open at this time of year there is also a swimming pool in the grounds. I would recommend this as a very good place to stay in the heart of the county.

Had a great family Xmas day lunch at this country hotel and it was such a lovely afternoon with fantastic all round service .. The food was fresh and plenty of it and nothing was too much trouble if you wanted more veg or gravy everything was attended to The staff were superb and couldn’t do enough for us and everything ran so smoothly they did really well for such a busy day The family have used the old rectory for years now for weddings and wakes it’s such good value and has great customer service which you rarely find nowadays .. being family run makes all the difference .. Thankyou Ian Becky Maddie and the whole team for making our Xmas lunch so warm and special and feel like home Great service great value for weddings and wakes which we have held there throughout the years .. give it a try you won’t be disappointed

We went for a night for our anniversary and never been more disappointed.. got into bed to find a large toe nail in the bed ..yuk ...walking around in bare feet and stood in something hard and it was somebody's hard skin ..made me want to be sick so I them checked all the room and no one had hoovered under the bed it was the honeymoon sweet and there was red petal etc under the bed ..have emailed them twice and they even bothered to get back to me ...disgusted

The room was large and comfortable,. The food was great with local products for breakfast. We had a very warm welcome and Ian, the owner, and his staff where all very pleasant and helpful. The Old Rectory is set in lovely gardens and location of the hotel is ideal for Norwich and The Broads, both only 15 minutes away.

We had our daughters wedding reception at the Old Rectory Hotel this month and cannot speak highly enough of the staff, venue, and care taken to ensure our daughters special day was just that. Special. Becky ensured that all ran smoothly, set up all table decorations, prepared the room and ensured we had everything we needed. Nothing was to much trouble for her, she welcomed guests and even supplied coffee to weary travellers. We cannot thank her and her team enough for making the day a success. The food in the evening was delicious and plentiful. The bar staff were efficient and pleasant. All in all we could not fault anything and would have no hesitation in recommending the venue if you're planning a ****ing or special occasion

Stayed here for two nights for our son's wedding. The most amazing experience! Obviously the wedding went well, but it was also wonderful as a hotel stay. The rooms were clean and delightful, we had dinner the night before and the sausages made a delicious breakfast even better. The outstanding feature of this hotel is the staff. They were all so amazing, from reception staff, event manager, room servicing, waitresses and bar staff it was delightful to stay somewhere where all the staff just love their job. Their enjoyment includes doing anything they can for their customers. In this day and age of mundane customer service, it is so refreshing to be somewhere that provides good old fashioned outstanding customer service. You will not be disappointed in a stay here.

From reception to departure the staff were most helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and we were comfortable there for 5 nights. Breakfasts were good and the two dinners we had there were excellent. There is a large outside area at the rear and a gated swimming pool (which we did not use as it was too cold). All in all a very comfortable stay and we would return.
