Our Safari Sea Adventure Tour was organized by Union Tours Safari. Arrived at the beach early morning, getting in the boat, a capacity of 12 plus 2 crew. Had a half day, watching dolphins, swimming and snorkeling reaching to the sandbank that disappears when tide is rising. Had a great view to Bill Gates Island. Later, back to the beach. Well organized tour.

We have stayed here at two different occasions and have been rather more disappointed than satisfied both times. The positive things are the proximity to the beach ( directly on the beach) and the view from the upstairs balcony , and rather large rooms with A/C and fan. However this year there is construction going on right next door that not only blocks the previous beautiful view which is now all but destroyed This also causes noise and workers looking straight into your sleeping quarters. The water pump is purposely shut down in the daytime and often there are water pump problems. The owners or managers are very dry and just want the business and money without having to be troubled for problems that may arise. The reception is far from the rooms so when the water cuts and you have soap in your eyes it isn’t so practical. There are some employees who are helpful and friendly like the handy guy who takes care of everything and the cleaning staff. Breakfast in the restaurant next door is ok. The wifi barely works . You can use a few sun beds free of charge . There are mosquito nets but they are full of holes. For 50-60 USD it is ok for the location but I have had better for less elsewhere in Zanzibar.
