Sehr freundliches Personal. Super Lage.

I stayed here solo for 1 night. I was welcomed into the hotel with a smile. My room was spacious, quiet and the included breakfast was fabulous! The front desk was able to sell me a 24hr transport ticket which was great for ease and convenience. The old town is within walking distance and for those attractions further away there is a tram stop nearby. ⭐️

This was our second visit to Nuremberg and opted for a more central location. We had a lovely big room on the second floor above the main entrance with a large comfortable bed. We stayed for 3 nights but only opted for breakfast on the last day and the selection was very good, so much so they could probably do with providing bigger plates! Parking was convenient with most bays under cover; however, it can be quite tight if driving a large car. We found everybody to be extremely friendly and helpful and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again should we return to the city.

Great location, comfortable spacious room and recently renovated. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast is extensive. Did I mention the location, so handy to the old city, restaurants and attractions. Only minor downside is the usual lack of air conditioning in many cities.

Everyone's opinion of their accommodation is different, so I only detail the things I thought were good and bad - make up your own mind. We booked a double room and parking. THE GOOD The room was spacious and super clean. There was a comfy bed with nice fluffy pillows. Lovely modern bathroom with shower. Fly nets were fitted to windows, so we were able to leave them open all night without the risk of being bitten. The staff were very friendly and check in was easy. Parking was easy and secure. WIFI code was displayed in the bedroom. Breakfast was very good with a huge choice - English and Continental. The location was excellent, situated just outside the walled old city of Nuremberg - you really couldn't have been accommodated closer. THE BAD There was no air con, but there was a powerful fan in the room. There was no kettle. No TV programme list in room, so took ages to search through channels to find an English one (only one English news channel available). The TV was very quiet, as sound was restricted. Very little literature in the room, and none in English. I would question whether this hotel would be suitable for disabled, as there were stairs up to reception (just check). Only serve breakfast.

This was our first visit to Nuremberg. I researched a lot of hotels before making my decision. I am glad l picked this hotel. I cannot comment on the breakfast as we never ate in at the hotel. The check in and out was painless. They also provide a map of the area which we found great. The room itself is spacious and has a mini bar which is very reasonably priced. The beds are very comfortable and you get a duvet each (even for double bed). Which we actually liked. Transport links are easy if you need them. The tram stop is 2 minutes walk away. There is also a supermarket with a cafe 2 minutes in the opposite direction. The centre itself is easily within walking distance. There is so much to see and do within the surrounding area. We were specifically visiting for the Xmas markets. You can if needed get a Nuremberg Card which once activated lasts 48 hours and gets to access to certain museums and all of the public transport it costs about €30 each. We will definitely be rebooking this hotel again.

Hotel Burgschmiet was such a great find! It is a lovely hotel located in a quiet neighborhood on the back side of the Imperial Castle. It's a short walk across the street to the city walls and the Dürer home. We loved being able to walk anywhere we wanted to go within the city walls! We did enjoy the breakfast buffet! It is extensive and very reasonably priced. The hotel is very clean, quiet, elegant and comfortable.

We stayed for 2 nights and found the hotel to be lovely. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful without exception, our room clean, spacious, and very quiet, and the breakfast wonderful. We were within walking distance of the main Christmas market as well as many restaurants and shops. Also public transport was easily accessible. A great place to explore Nuremberg from on our first visit.
