This was our favourite hotel in Rwanda and we could have stayed much longer than the three nights. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable with stunning views from the generous balconies. The staff were very friendly and professional and the food was very good. Perfect spot for exploring the amazing Nyungwe forest

The Nyungwe Top view hotel is in a great location and both the central building and the bungalows are very scenic. It is the only mid-range option in the neighborhood of Nyungwe national park. The staff are friendly and helpful. The disadvantages are that there is no wifi in the bungalows, and that the food sounds good on the menu, but is not very tasty. Breakfast quite good though.

My wife and I spent one night at this establishment. First the positives - Ange at reception was absolutely wonderful and very welcoming. The other staff were helpful and well meaning but often seemed overwhelmed. The room was clean and cozy and the fireplace was a nice touch. Now the negatives: Of all the places we stayed during our two weeks in Rwanda / Uganda this rated near the bottom in terms of service orientation and food. Unlike other establishments we stayed in, the vegetarian food options were very limited and it was the only place where food was buffet style. As we had the luxury of a late morning, by the time we got to breakfast, there was hardly any food left! Not sure I would consider this property again.

Yet somewhat dated, everything was very clean and functional. I looked forward to my meals each day since the restaurant staff were very friendly, helpful and the food was good. We had a fire made for us in our room. There were hummingbirds feeding from the flowers outside our room patio. We felt safe our entire stay. Beautiful view of the forest and Lake Kivu in the distance. We would stay here again.

We had visited the hotel in January 2024 to stay for 2 nights, and for Chimpanzee trekking. Beautiful location, good spacious cottages, very good staff, food was reasonably good. They have arranged the Chimpanzee trekking smoothly. It is a god place for bird watching too.

Although the furnishings in this lodge are a bit dated and our sideboard seemed slowly falling to pieces, overall, this accommodation is excellent. The staff were most friendly and helpful without exception, the food was delicious and plentiful, the sleep quality heavenly and the location perfect for all activities in the Nyungwe Forest. The views from the hilltop are breathtaking. Great place to stay.

Beautiful hotel and surroundings, but the people made it even more special. Huge (very clean) room. Hot water bottles underneath the bed sheets. Free bottles of water. Fresh flowers in the bathroom every day, with body lotion, shampoo and shower gel. There were some patched-up tiles but it didn’t matter to us. Laundry (Very dirty post chimpanzee trek) done in less than 24 hours including cleaning of shoes and brought back to us spick and span. Ivan deserves a big shout out!! Eric, the chef and all the servers prepared and served our meals with love. The food is really good and abundant, especially the dinner buffet. Keep it up. Staff all spoke good English too so communication was very easy. I believe that the staff are what makes or breaks a place so I ask the management and guests that visit to take good care of each other.

This was the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in! The staff is extremely friendly as well as attentive! The rooms are fairly clean, and you always receive a nice hot apparatus that is placed in your bed to help keep your sheets warm before resting for the night! The food is delicious, and farm to table!

Was impressed by their warm welcome. The manager and staff are eloquent, professional and attended to all our needs. The dining experience was amazing. Their tea snacks are exquisite, still can't forget their home-made cookies. They kept us warm despite the very cold weather.
