Casa Catrina is located in a great location without being in the most busy area. The hotel is quaint & the staff is attentive. Breakfast that was included was fruit, granola, pastries & fresh juice and coffee. The only problem was no hot water 4 out of 5 days there.

A great hotel. Delightful room exceptionally clean and comfortable with our own beautiful terrace. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, accommodating and friendly. Would recommend this hotel highly and would love to return. It is also well situated for all the main sights in Oaxaca

We traveled with another couple to Oaxaca in January 2024 and had two rooms at Casa Catrina. We were completely happy with our experience! The hotel is beautifully appointed, having been converted from a private residence. The location is perfect for exploring the historic district with many restaurants, shops, and services nearby. The two rooms on the second floor with a door opening to the terrace are wonderful! One of our two couples had a terrace room and having breakfast there was truly a perfect way to start the day. However, all the rooms seemed spacious and nicely appointed. Even better than the hotel property itself were the staff. Each was exemplary in their roles and truly made us feel at home. We recommend Casa Catrina very highly.

gloriously comfortable and elegantly furnished rooms set around a charming courtyard where individual breakfasts are served. The freshly squeezed orange juice is delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a good location, a short walk from the main square on a road lined with restaurants and rooftop bars. We had a lovely stay.

We were looked after very well. The room was large and very clean. Very close to restaurants and other attractions. Would stay again Anna spoke good English and made us feel very welcome A safe and secure hotel with 24hr reception.

The hotel team very friendly with an average to good service. The decor is nice. Very noisy central patio so impossible to have a good late morning, forget about rest. Small details are very needed and some deco details (hanging light bulb) need attention. It is a 3 star “hotel”

Casa Catrina is such a beautiful hotel with great service. It is conveniently located close to the zocalo and the cathedral Santo Domingo so, you can walk to all of the wonderful restaurants of Oaxaca. You can arrange to have your breakfast delivered to your room and start your day in a leisurely manner. I highly recommend this hotel.

the hotel does not disclose that there are rooms that lack real windows, a material fact that most guests would want to know. before booking or giving these people your credit card information, get in writing that you room has a real window to the outside otherwise you may be paying for a closet. crazy, I know that one would have to ask that question . who in their right mind would want to stay in such a room? the hotel does apparently not think this is important

The positives are many: the red room is very large, quiet (except daily, early gongs from the next door church), spacious and comfortable. There’s a large, semi-private terrace with a great view (until the business across the street installed on Sunday massive LP gas tanks on the roof to obstruct the view) shared with the green room with easy access for the restaurant to serve breakfast. The red room is the best room with a huge tub and 2 large doors opening to its terrace while the green room has only one with additional windows facing inward. The morning breakfast service was extremely efficient with a shout out to Ino, who is friendly, attentive and prompt. There’s a safe, a small refrigerator and plenty of seating. The location is very good, being close to many sites and excellent restaurants. With that said, the wifi is terrible, weak and spotty. And the tub with its rigged shower head is a falling hazard; the fiberglass shower floor has warped and is very unstable.
