Avis : Celay Hotel

First visit to this hotel but not to Ovacik/Hisaronu. Very nice ground floor room with terrace, clean bedding and towels 3 times per week. We were half board basis and enjoyed every tasty meal. Adults pool is so relaxing and inviting. Would definitely return.

I wouldn't advise if u r new as they just look down there nose at you if u aren't a returning customer.. very expensive and sure they add things to your bill..cant get wifi unless u r at bar..for all those saying how good it is u must be one of the regulars as u can see the FAVOURITES soon as u go there

This was our second time at the Celay Hotel, and once again, it did not disappoint. All of the staff are so friendly and can’t do enough to help. The rooms are cleaned every day, and the maids left us some lovely towel displays. The breakfast is exactly what you’d expect in Turkey—fresh bread, cereals, fruit, juices, tea, and coffee. The food, from snacks to main evening meals, is lovely. We spent 11 nights there and still did not want to come home. Thank you to George and your great team. Can't wait to be back next year.

Arrived home after a brilliant holiday at the Celay. Don’t hesitate to book your break. We will definitely rebook. Great place, lovely hotel, friendly staff and good choice of food and drinks at reasonable prices.

It’s just ok nothing out of the ordinary.. Rooms are clean but very basic and out dated. The deluxe rooms are nothing to shout about. WiFi only works at the bar area sometimes 🙄. Breakfast is only boiled eggs and salami bread and a few dusty cereals from 8am and it’s all cleaned away before 10am as advertised!! You can fill a water bottle up from the water as you get rude remarks from the staff😡 you have to buy their water at over inflated prices. We opted to eat out every night as food is so cheap out and about. Guests that had been before definitely get different treatment. We won’t be returning as there is far far better alternatives for your money.

Excellent family run hotel, very relaxed. Excellent food very well presented, lovely pool area although we found if you wanted a sunbed you need to be up early, & I mean early, we had a great holiday & didnt want to come home, the main strip is 10 min walk away it's brilliant in the evening if you like bars & entertainment the shops are also open until very late, the main road closes at night too which is good, we will be returning in the future.

This was our 8th visit to this wonderful hotel, the staff, from management, office staff, bar staff to the cleaners are the best you would get anywhere. Spotlessly clean with lovely rooms, we upgrade to the Delux rooms as we like more space and a bigger balcony. Guests whether new or return are very friendly. Anyone visiting here would not be disappointed.

The pool here is the saving grace of this hotel. It's situated at the top road, a good 2 mile downhill walk to Hisaronu The staff were pleasant and helpful but the reason that we won't be returning , and the reason behind the average score is the rooms. They are basic in the extreme No fridge, no TV, not even a kettle. It's 2025 and most people expect these things. We went half board and whilst the food was tasty the half boarders menu was repetitive, Moussaka 4 times in 14 days, Spaghetti 5 times lol .... there is only so much pasta a person can take! One of the biggest icks that we had was the staff constantly on their mobile phones and smoking on duty, especially when serving food and drinks, not very hygienic, hand to mouth contact then handling your plates or glasses. I did mention it to the young female manager who was working on it but finding hard to get through to the mainly male workforce. Our cleaner, and I use that term loosely was dreadful and I complained a couple of times, bathroom not cleaned, patio/balcony area not cleaned and covered in ants We didn't like the way the hotel added an extra 5% charge if you paid by debit card. Prices for good and drinks were more expensive than other places to eat and drink in the area to start with. The customers are predominantly returning older guests who don't really expect much from the hotel and that's absolutely fine. We won't be returning. To basic. We did have a nice holiday, but it's really a hotel that has a nice pool and no other frills.

When my wife and I arrived, we were greeted like we were old friends, even though this was our first stay at the Celay Hotel. The staff, the food, the room, and the pool areas were as far as we were concerned, top-notch. We are already planning to go next year with our family and are already looking forward to it.

Returned to this Beautiful ❤️ Hotel in an amazing scenic location. The owners and staff are the most lovely, friendly and accommodating people who make you feel most welcome and comfortable. It was our friends first visit to Turkey and they thoroughly enjoyed it, we showed them around the area of Ovacik, Hisaronu and Fethiye that is easily accessible by foot, dolmus bus or taxi. Our female friend was especially comfortable staying at the hotel alone while we took an excursion, she said this has been the only place on any holiday she has ever felt able to do this, which says it all for the Hotel. We love this Hotel thank you for another ❤️ beautiful holiday Celay hope to be back very soon.

Nice clean basic hotel, very friendly staff, hotel food was lovely, fish & chips was divine, music wasn’t loud, would visit again, but I need a ground floor room as too many steps for me, not the hotels fault, my only advice would be take an extension lead as not enough plug sockets in the room, aircon has to be paid for, it’s 200tl in to Hisoranu by taxi, the young guy who is night barman helped us as our transfer was late, he was lovely… deffo on my good list, many thanks Celey Hotel xx

Second time we have been here and it was amazing again . We will be booking to go back next year asap . George, Hakan, Izzy and the team make it the best place to go . Really welcoming and can’t do enough for you . We stayed in the upgraded rooms and they were spotless. Cleaned every day. Food was lovely and the EFES were cold . What more do you want . See you all next year !!!

Amazing hotel, incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive staff who will go the extra mile, especially Yunus. Extremely clean hotel with stunning views of the mountains all around and great relaxed happy atmosphere. Fantastic value for money. The bar serves drinks until 2am and food is served until 10pm but they'll even make you a sandwich after that time if you're hungry. Staff will pump up inflatables for free for you to use in the pools, which are open from 8am-8pm. You can get the minibus to Oludeniz, a stunning beach with blue sea, or Fethiye, a harbour town, for just 35 Turkish lira (£1). You can also get taxis from just outside the hotel and there are lots of other beaches and towns to explore in the local area. There are loads of beautiful places and things to do in the area - boat trips, Turkish baths, paragliding, walking, shopping etc. The area is lovely and we always felt very safe as two female young adults out on our own. There were lots of older English people staying at the hotel at the same time as us which we liked. The only downsides I can think of are that the WiFi does not extend to the rooms but is fine around the bar and pool, there were only two plug sockets in our room, the safe boxes are near reception which cost £2 per day and if you want air con you have to pay for that too. The pros massively outweigh the cons and I recommend this hotel to anyone. I definitely plan on coming back! My new favourite place

On arrival I was left at reception for around 20 minutes (it was midnight) I was then greeted and asked straightaway if I would like to upgrade my room (£15 per night) as I hadn't seen my room, I thought it a bit odd. I declined this and the AC which was £5 per night. There was no food or water offered. I was taken to my room, which was very basic and run down. But clean and had a small balcony. I was kept awake by a neighbours dog barking until the early hours and I was locked out of my bathroom as the door jammed closed. (thankfully I was not inside!!) The guy at reception jimmied it open and advised me not to close it. Breakfast is pretty dire, bread, jams, boiled eggs, salad, cheese and spam? With a few dusty cereals and nasty cheap coffee. You can upgrade to a full English breakfast at a cost of around £7 WIFI is ONLY available at the bar, but it is free. The pools are clean, but extremely cold! The sun loungers are pretty worn as are the matts on top, but comfy enough. No towels are provided. There is a shop down quite a steep hill, which has the basics and a restaurant there too, which was nice food. The Dolmus (bus) is really good! You need to walk down 2 roads to catch it and it takes you straight into Oludeniz, Hissoranu or Fethiye at a cost of 85p they take card payments which are cheaper than cash. A taxi is around £7 to the beach, there are taxi buttons, one is outside the hotel. The hotel is a cheap and cheerful place to stay. Its very much a place of "if your face fits" many people come every year and you can tell the staff treat them quite differently, I'd say I was ignored the whole week I was there. The views are incredible and the pool area is very nice, that is about all.
