Avis : Grand Park Otaru

Mins drive from Otaru Canal. Connected to Aeon Shopping Mall which is great for takeout snacks Chose this for ocean view and I was not disappointed. Caught sunrise without stepping out of the room.

Huge room with a gorgeous view on the marina. It is located next to and supermarket a has lots of restaurants and shops. It's about a half-hour walk from the canal and other tourist attractions.

The hotel is large and in a great location, right next to a shopping mall. The room was very spacious and fully equipped with all necessary amenities. There are connecting rooms available on the sea-facing side with beautiful views. The staff provided excellent service. Parking is available for 24 hours at 1,680 yen. The hotel is a bit far from the Otaru Canal.

The hotel looks grand on the outside. But the rooms are very dated. However, being dated is still okay as long as its clean. But the room is quite dirty. There were stains on the carpet & sofa, rendering it not usable even if it was placed in the room for us to sit. Check out time was miserably sad at 10am. There were no room for negotiations to check out 1-2 hours later due to our schedule and were asked to pay 1000 yen more per hour. Overall, affordable hotel but overall experience doesn’t sit well with us.

Although it is a old hotel, you can tell by the age of the building and facilities. My husband and I feel really comfortable during our stay. The staff was nice and helpful  The room is very clean, old but very clean, which need a lot of effort put in. (unlike some other hotel looks new cause they renovated but they don’t clean and you can see dust everywhere and you know they haven’t change the item if they are not used.)

Great hotel with spacious nice traditional rooms. Overall the hotel is very spacious and has a grand ambience. Rooms offer a very nice view of the Sea and yachts. Rooms equipped with a capsule coffee machine. Shower gels and shampoo are very nice like Lemongrass and ginger. The hotel is linked to AEON mall and railway stations by passage corridor. When you arrive at otaru Chiko station instead of going to the street level, you may find the corridor on the same level with station with the sign Grand Hotel. You will pass the shopping mall hall and end up at the hotel.

Great location with beautiful & peaceful ocean views from our room. It is very convenient for being able to walk from JR Otaruchikkou station to the hotel through the shopping mall, Wing Bay Otaru, especially during winter time. Pricing is reasonable compared to other hotels in town.

Spacious comfy room with great ocean view. The housekeeping was excellent!

I'm enjoying the stunning view from my room. It's a very quiet location, conveniently situated just two stops from Otaru Station. Everything has been excellent, although the hotel does not have an onsen.

Good location and hotel is connected from Otaruchikko station. Nearby is Aeon and shopping mall. Many selection of food to choose.

Indian staff is very rude and annoying. We didn't do anything but are threathen as people from mainland. ONLY KIDS UNDER 6 CAN STAY FOR FREE!!! We booked two rooms with 2 small double beds but need to pay on arrival for our 8 years old kids as she is counted as an adult. No matter adding beds or not you still need to pay... You should state clearly child is consider adult in your policy. I booked more than 10 hotels and you are the only problem hotel🤢

It's quite disappointing because the map wasn't clear enough about the distance from the nearest train station.

Location was great! Stuff at the hotel is expensive tho…
