Terrible experience, but I didn't stay. I called ahead of time and was told I could get a room with a cash deposit instead of a credit card. When I showed up, the desk attendant seemed rude, but I paid that little mind. He told me that I would pay $87 for the room and then pay $150 for deposit, but it would need to be exact change. I came up with $90, which he took. Then I had one 2-$100 bills, and rather than give me back $50 from what I just handed him, he just grabbed the $200 and said "don't worry, you'll get it back in the morning". I then got the room key card. I got no receipt whatsoever. I asked for one and was told that I shouldn't worry or it wasn't important, or he couldn't or some malarkey. I said "at least give me something that shows I gave you $200 in cash". He said no, and was offended that I asked. I said that a piece of paper with a written note saying "received $200 cash deposit" with a signature would suffice. He insisted he couldn't and some nonsense that it was already in the system, and I reiterated that he could just sign a slip of paper. He was belligerent, so I just got my money back and left. How can someone be incapable of or so resistant to signing a piece of paper when they took your money? And rude, when they're running a motel or at least the desk?
