Valtos Ionion

Spacious rooms, very convenient location (very close to beach, Parga town) and other areas and amenities to explore. First experience and I loved it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tamara always on tops of things and willing to assist. Cleaning lady, very professional.

Beautiful modern, clean & fresh apartments that have recently been refurbished. This is our 7th time visiting Parga & one of the best places we have stayed. Location is great with a short walk down the hill to the beach & into Parga Town.

first time to Parga so not knowing much about the area we opted for the Valtos Ionion just on the outskirts of the main town.on arrival we were greeted by the owner And told the do’s & don’ts of the complex.or room on the ground floor was very spacious and more than adequate for our needs all rooms have balconies overlooking the main road at the back of the complex is a large swimming pool all with sun beds and parasols the whole place is spotless and well maintained. At the front of the building is a garden of which 3 tortoise roam and live most unusual these days to see...it’ll keep the kids amused for hours....the area around is hilly and can be very hard work on a hot day and its a main road leading down to the beach So it gets busy and very noisy so be aware ...the town of Parga is about a 30 min stroll down some steep steps ! The only thing is you have to come back up them unless you call a Taxi ..but this shouldn’t detract from the Valtos Ionion apt's.

What can I say about this hotel and the fantastic staff here? We were on our honeymoon and on arrival there were rose petals and feathers on the bed and hearts hanging. A bottle of bubbly was also left for us. A lovely touch especially as we were also shown personally to our room. This hotel is rated as 2 star. It is not, by any stretch of the imagination a 2 star hotel. The rooms are nipping clean and very well decorated. This continues throughout the hotel into the pool area and the gardens. We had a second floor room with a view of the sea. The staff could couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a great location between Valtos and Parga. Although up a hill the hotel can do nothing about that. Parga is a hidden gem, a beautiful location and very welcoming. Forget Brits abroad and expats and embrace yourself in all that mainland Greece has to offer. Beautiful area, beautiful food and beautiful people. Thank you for making our holiday one we will never forget.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for five days. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were very modern with big balcony’s. You couldn’t hear the street outside for that much which were nice. The pool area was nice. However, The room didn’t have any ventilation so the sheets and clothes got very humid. Also the AC cost 70 euros for a week which you will need because it’s so warm. 10 minute walk to the old town of parga. 5 minutes to a small ***** with restaurants. 10 minutes to the beach with a LONG slope back up.

These are beautiful apartments, all the staff are so welcoming and willing to help with anything. The apartments are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. They are ideally placed between Valtos Beach and Parga old town. Excellent Restaurants within a 5 minute walk. This is a hilly resort but if you are less able Taxis are very cheap 5 euros into the centre of Parga.

Going home tomorrow after a wk at valtos ionion standard of rooms are excellent and to be refurbished this winter , pool area is very clean the whole place is kept well and spotless , owners very nice and adorable children , we have found our new happy place snd wouldnt stay anywhere else , parga town is absolutely stunning , we as a couple could fault apartments and will return for winter sun next October thankyou for a fantastic winter break yvonne and gavin x

Stayed here last week,Tamara greeted us on arrival and took us to our room. Very basic but spotless and towels and sheets were changed daily. Great pool and sun beds,lovely and quiet everyday. A word of warning you need to be fit to stay here,the hill up and down to town and Valtos Beach is challenging in 38 degrees believe me and I would say I am very fit. The hotel is being refurbished this winter so next year will be even better. Would recommend and return. Just one complaint,no toaster.

Just returned from the Valtos Ionion. Lovely Greeting on arrival from Tamara and some great info given, always on hand to help and advise. What a surprise in our room as Tamara was advised it was our wedding anniversary and a lovely bottle of fizz was left and a lovely swan design on our bed.(thank you again) These apartments were really nice and are to be updated for next year. Beautiful pool area kept to a high standard by Lao and the best Sunbeds ever I have seen. Apartments were spotless and cleaned everyday by I think her name was Areesa who worked endlessly to keep everywhere sparkling. The only thing missing was a pool bar, we booked with Jet2 and they only informed us of this 2 days before we were due to arrive even though it says in there brochure and on line that a bar was there. There is a vending machine which has beer and wine though but it was not the same. We tried our best to try and convince Tamara to build a bar for the future.(hahaha) We did find the apartments a little further down had a bar area (Alexas) The apartments are situated about 300 metres uphill from the beach great to go down but take it easy coming back up. and about 400 metres from the town. We used to get a taxi back each night from the town which cost 6 euros, well worth it though. We hope to return to Parga as it has been one of our favorite destinations for many years and have stayed in some nice accommodations and when we do we will certainly be returning to The Valtos Ionion.
