Our room was standard room with 2 queen beds. Room was clean. There aren’t fans in the bathroom so the ceiling paint was peeling and the caulking around the tub was missing in spots. No refrigerator in room either although website says one is available “upon request”. Not sure how that works. Stay included continental breakfast which was nice. Good selection of pastries, cold cereal, fruit salad. We stayed on a Thursday night which is trivia night at the restaurant downstairs. Seems to be popular. All in all an ok stay.

I have to say I want to stay here again and peek around. I had the opportunity to stay for 3 nights, but honestly, I started looking at YouTube videos and realized this place is ******* and changed my mind. I now want to stay there again and realized i should have stayed here for my full business trip. I had the tolken room. Perfect for me. Big Fruit Filled Fig Tree mural and a view of the beauty of a church next to this pretty little community of Paris, Ontario. Whether my mind was playing tricks on me but several times I got noticeable chills down my spin and spouts of extream hot and freezing ice cold.....I know I was being watched and even had to say out loud a fews times to cut it out....nothing scary for me. Might freak some other people out, but remember, the mind can do some funny things to us. The staff is incredible! I met three staff members, and all had pride, and you could tell you are passionate about The Arlington. It is a big deal to work there because of its history and marking in our country. The one lady took me to the basement so I could see the original stone bar and foundation of this amazing structure. I really liked this unique experience staying here and hope i can stay here again one day. Really too bad I missed high tea, what a great idea. I bet they get lots of locals and tourists for these events. Thanks again!

A fun hotel themed around literature and authors. Good value package including a voucher for a local restaurant overlooking the Grand River, made our day away in thr pretty little town of Paris very enjoyable.

The whole experience at The Arlington was wonderful (one exception). The rooms are very comfortable and the bed provided a great night's sleep. Before booking, be sure to take a look at the room options. If you have a specific request they'll try to accommodate you - in my case I asked to NOT stay in the Stan Lee room - not sure the comic designs on the wall would have been conducive to a relaxing stay. But the soothing forest walls of the Brothers Grimm room were lovely! The Bistro restaurant has a limited but excellent menu. And you're within walking distance of cool shops, restaurants and a fabulous bakery! A great place for a get-away from the city.

We have travelled a lot and the Arlington hotel was so refreshing. How nice to have a themed room! We loved it. The hotel was central very clean and the staff were lovely nothing was a big deal for them. We will be going back! Yes we will be telling all our family and friends about this great little gem in a wonderful small town😊

I liked the hotel with the themed rooms. It's a neat idea but I was expecting the rooms to be a bit more immersive in the chosen theme. The room was clean and quite quiet even though it faced a fairly busy street. The A/C unit was intermittently making odd noises so I turned it off. The TV is a little obsolete and would not allow me to stream content from my phone. The beds were firm and comfortable. I thought it strange that there were no facial tissues at hand in the room. A nice to have would have been a kettle/coffee machine in the room. The buffet breakfast was Ok. Overall I enjoyed the room experience. The same cannot be said about our dining experience at edit. In short, it was horrible and if it hadn't been my wife's birthday and my being fatigued from a full day of hiking I would have sent our meals back and walked out of the restaurant. I ordered the salmon and my wife ordered the steak. The steak was really chewy and tough. My salmon was way overcooked. The skin was the texture of cardboard. It came on a bed of chick peas with a creamy sauce which in turn was literally floating in a pool of some unspecified green slime. The presentation was extremely off-putting I am sorry to say. As I was quite hungry at the time I did my best to eat what I could. As I mentioned, the salmon was overcooked to the point of being dry. The green sauce essentially swallowed up the chick peas after my first couple of tastes. There was no indication what the green sauce was derived from but I eventually figured out it was some kind of cilantro puree. Full disclosure, I am one of those people who really doesn't like cilantro and would not have ordered the salmon had the menu disclosed that ingredient. The best part of the meal was the Ceasar salad we had for our appetizer. Also, the wait staff were very nice and attentive.

This hotel is very unique and well kept. Each room is themed and well kept. They over a continental breakfast from 6-9. They have a library bar that serves dinner as well. Mackenzie works at the front desk and is super helpful. Ask her for the tour of the basement which is in its original al condition. A must see!! We dined at Stillwater restaurant located very close to the hotel and the food was great - be sure to have the bruschetta!! We stayed in the Leonard Cohen room on the second floor it has a record player with records. Because the hotel is older the walls are thin but other then that this little hotel is a must see !!

We stayed overnight for a wedding in July , and about 6 months later the same receptionist told us that was her favourite room, I am guessing she didn’t recognize us from our previous visit.Both times there were issues with the HVAC system in the upper floors as it was boiling in the summer and freezing in the winter, we called to the lobby receptionist to complain and she would need to go to the basement to jiggle something, but not to worry as it usually did the trick.I think it did the opposite both times.the water was fine but it made it hard to get out of the shower as your teeth were chattering or it felt as if you were still wet, reaching for a towel was a new experience in pain as the towel’s were bought used from the Don jail,they scraped two layers of skin with every wipe! We ate breakfast There one of the mornings and the food was fine.
